I'm interested in getting a Talking Dictionary but not sure where to start or where to get one.
I came across a few on the internet that have a Taking Dictionary that does Thai-English & English-Thai.
Any bros bought one of these gadgets before? Or any recommendations as to where to get one?

Panthip plaza, on the mezzanine lever (IT supercity??) - big shop, has the taliking Dick's in the front; the various brands and all the cards you can put in them. Havent seen an Eng-Thai one in action. Think they start around 5kBht

That was where I bought my talking dictionary and I also can't remember the name of the store. You can't miss it as it runs all the way across the center of the 2nd floor.
I looked at the warranty card and they call the store -Data Panthip which I know is not the correct name.
They start at 2,300 baht and run up to 5,000 baht. I bought a Super King for 5,000 baht and am very satisfied with it. It has the added benefit of supporting Mandarin and Cantonese besides Thai.
Cantonese doesn't help much, but "wo hui shuo yidian putonghua"!
Pay attention when the clerk demo's the unit to you because you will find the instruction book is printed in Thai and operating the device is not very intuitive.

You should also checkout Fortune City next to the Fortune hotel. I think 3rd or 4th floor you should be able to find a bunch of them. Plus this is where you can buy all your DVDs now since they're getting hard to find.

I bought one for a girl who could speak bugger all english when I first met her, it was an investment in better sex, the sex was great already, but just got a little better with a few words, she know speaks a lot more english, has a lot more business because of it and less time for me, its a vicious circle, sob sob, it cost 7k baht by the way.
In fact she still calls for a secret meeting from time to time, seems I am the only one who can satisfy her, she needs to release her sexual tension every couple of months.

Thanks for all the info, loks like I better get my ass back to LOS to have a look at these gadgets (just another excuse to get back there sooner).
From the looks of it there seems to be a wide range of these Talking Dict's and from what I gather from the posts and the internet prices start from 2300 baht to 15000 baht.
Just a question of checking which ones will meet my needs.

I just received a few brochures on the Talking Dicts, mf friend in LOS sent them over to me.
Finally decided on a model called the Talking-Dict 'Super King' (weird name) buts seems to be pretty good...costs 5990 baht after the discount.
Just wanted to know if anyone has bought one of these or something close so I could do a comparison.

Talking dictionaries are available at NEP for 500-600B for one night. Payment amount to the dictionary is negotiable.
