hope Daffy the tech ACE can help me here?
PLEASE READ MY QUESTION
I need to know can I get a dongle around Surin Province or Prasat
as when I land in BKK I have to drive direct to NE ASAP
I only need to be able to use my lap top for two weeks while up country near Cambodian border, does anyone know will I be able to get service up there?
What's the go I only need to read and send e-mails no downloads

Since you're going up country, you are better off using AIS as a provider as their coverage is generally better in those areas. For low bandwidth internet access, you could just pick up the AIS EDGE AIRCARD. For about 1,090 B, you get the dongle and NetSim which allows you to use it for a month. You get 3,600 minutes of airtime free. Here's the website, it's in Thai though.

TRUE on their Website list areas of 3G Coverage around Thailand. I use a Huawei 3G Portable Hot Spot/Router (these are available in Fortune Town) with a TRUE Net Sim, 688 Baht (inc Tax) per month for Thai Style Unlimited (3Gb per month at full speed of 7.2Mbs & a much reduced speed after this!) on a six month contract but you only have to pay 2 months inadvance.

Jingjo, I bought one of those sticks some time ago, from one of the 7-11 outlets. Not sure if everyone of them carry it though. Your best bet is to go to the AIS outlet at any one of the shopping malls.
July is still very far away, let's start another thread on that when we get closer to that.

Last time I was over there were a few places that sold sim cards etc at arrivals
Again I only need to reply to e-mails etc and re send so I can keep the money coming in while I'm bored shitless up at the farm for 2 weeks again thanks in advance

You *might* be able to pick one up at the airport, from the AIS booth - albeit they mostly have top up and SIMs. Never checked if they have data cards, albeit they display advertisements for them.
Otherwise, you should have no trouble picking any of the AIS EDGE based cards up from any medium sized mall in the boonies where you are heading.
