1) Most of the Coffee Shops have free WiFi.

2) Pantip I guess but I know that they sell them in Fortune Tune. True 3G works in most of Bangkok, I use a True 3G Card with a Huawei E5s Mobile Broadband Router. Great Product.

Once you have had a BJ at SOL wander along to Statbucks for an energy boosting expresso they have an unprotected wifi that you can jump on for free.

I am on a 6 Months plan, pay 599 Baht a Month for Thai style unlimited which is 3Gb of Downloads at full speed & then it slows to something ridiculous but I am only using it for Email & some Web Surfing, so never get near the 3GB.

I think you can check with Dtac.

For here, if you have home internet with True, then you get free wifi connection at the malls or where ever you see True wifi sign...Basically, almost everywhre in Bangkok.

You can get a "N", it's backwards compatable with G, and B, wifi dongle at Phantip for bt299. Just look around on the 3rd floor, or go up to IT center on the top floor, and way over on the left as you enter the store.

It's real suprising your laptop doesn't have wifi.

Pussy lover

I just bought a 2g 3g dongle on the 24th June MBK 4th floor AIS sim card and dongle 1200bht

The sales guys sorted it out for me as I've never used a dongle before (take your laptop)

I'm up Surin way and works ok,well a little slow

In Bangkok wireless was better in the Hotel

e-mails send and receive ok

skype not good cuts in & out when using dongle up country, again using the hotel's wireless skype was fine!

I'll look for the Business card for you and add details to this post later, hope this helps.

There is absolutely no reason at all you want to get an internet service plan, like true, or 3G, if you are going to use the free wifi hotspots that are available. You do not need a provoder to use them. All you need is a USB wifi dongle that will pick up the band that is being broadcast, and that is either "N", "B", or "G", with most now using "G", or "N". "N" is backwards compatable with all the rest, and will cover you anywhere in the world, and at every airport, that has wifi.

Again, you DO NOT need a provider plan like 3G, or true internet. All you need is a dongle to pick up the free signal. Don't get confused, and buy more than you need for free wifi.
