Hi all

Specific questions regarding a mobile phone I want to use in LOS.

Model: Nokia 6310
Band: 900 or 1800
Unlocked (i.e. not locked to any particular network)
Origin: Australia (if it matters)

Anyone know for sure if I can buy a local pre-paid SIM card and it will work?

If so which phone company?  I saw posts about ADETC (or something) might have opened up to unlocked phones, and also "1-2 call" (or something).

Anyone tell me for certain if this phone will work and if so with which company?

I think it will as Optus list Thailand as a country where I can use their overseas call thing  - at a cost and a half.

Thanks

(Sorry if this has been answered, just spent an hour searching and got more confused than when I started, and a lot of stuff was over a year old).

yes it will work
all my friends from Australia do this, you can get a pre-pay card from DTAC - http://www.dtac.co.th
or AIS one2call - http://www.ais900.com
just swap sims and away you go

Yes it will work.

If buy some chance it has a security lock in it (to prohibit use outside of Oz), then the girls in the phone shops at MBK can unlock the code for you. They did this with my motorola.

Hi.  I'm not sure if I should start a new thread.  If yes, my apologies.  Question...

I have a pre-paid Siemens C25 from Belgium.  Do I need to unlock it for use in LOS?

Thanks,
BlueNote,
