Well, not exactly the most honest thing to be doing, but in the true sense it is very difficult if not impossible to "crack" the password through hacking.
The best way is to download a small utility that records all keystrokes to a file. If your girl logs on to her mail while that program is running you'll get it that way. Pretty easy to do, even in a internet cafe if she goes there often...

recording keystrokes is a million times easier if you really want to do this, and can ensure that she uses your computer or one that you install the software on first...
i don't think checking the cache will work -- the passwords are masked and you don't actually see the digits (you just see *****).

From my own personal experience, if you are having doubts, cut your ties now and try get over her and find someone that you will have no doubts about, just my opinion.
If you really want to record her keystrokes (and passwords) you can buy an adapter that plugs in between the keyboard and the computer, very effective and easy to use, can be found at most computer places.

I have seen many TGs use Hotmail, and it is incredible the passwords that they choose! Sometimes, "1245678", sometimes, "1234" sometimes, their birthday or year of birth or even their phone number. Most of them seem to like using the numeric keypad to enter their password, I think they are used to entering their PIN numbers.
