I said it should be the "Prom Phong Red Light District".
There must be close to 15 venues within a 10 minute walk of the BTS station.

I was there Saturday.
Nice setup with the girls all dressed in White uniform and sitting on a sofa as you enter.
10 minutes walk from the BTS Station is accurate if you are crawling there. O-Oku is no more than 50 metres on the right side as you enter Soi 39 (from Sukh). Took me all of 3 minutes to get there.
Did not indulge as none of the girls on show appealed to me. while I was there, the cashier gave me a tea and a Cold Towel (very nice touch). I gave her 100thb for the inconvenience when I left.
Also, there were quite a few Japs coming in as I was making my exit.

Coming into a reception area isn't being exhibitionist in the least. You'll find this occurence in every town and city in any country even amongst conservative, polite and reserved types.
I recognize your compulsive need to stereo-type nationalities, but maybe this time you are attempting to describe a degree of politeness and reserve which not all of those you describe, have.
It's similiar to saying that not all Australians are the same.
