Just thought I would update this posting. I am a fan of the Chavalla establishment and like to chime in from time to time.
This place is a turkish bath type of establishment and you sit in a bathtub while the woman washes you from outside of it. A little difference when compare to soapies.
This is the place I always head to when I just want to lean back and let the lady do the work. There are two basic suggestions that I always offer--
Number one, the attendants that help you select really seem impartial in my opinion. I could be wrong, but in perhaps 15 trips over the past few years I have never had one recommended lady that was not exactly as the attendant described. But back to my number one point--ask for a girl that has been there at least 3-5 years. Many of these ladies have worked there for more than 5 years. They really seem to like the groove of the place. But I was chatting with one girl on my last trip who told me that they get no training in the Blowjob/Happy Ending. I suppose some girls will share pointers, but this lady was telling me that they basically learn as they go and have to get customers to teach them along the way. Frankly, if I am going to get a BJ--I like an expert. Maybe if you like to teach--you should avoid my suggestion number one.
Number Two--I always ask if they can suggest a woman with some English. Most of the clients at Chavalla are Asian and English fluency is hard to come by at this place. The nice advantage is every room has a TV. So sometimes I will forgo an English speaker for a better looker. Many of them are perfectly OK with you just watching TV whilst they do their work.
One other point--I have found that the standard method for payment here is to give the lady money for the massage and let her pay. Standard price is 1300/baht at the Sri Ayuthaya place and I believe 1200/baht at the Sukimvit Soi 33 place (Thong Lo stop on the BTS and walk back one block.) I usually just give the girls 2000 baht. They are generally happy and seem to expect that as their standard payment.
So anyways, I have been there on my current trip and would now like to offer my review. I have gone to both locations. There is a third location, but I have never been to it. The best site is actually the Sri Ayuthaya location--it is just at the bottom of the footbridge next to J-One Massage Parlor. My standard routine is to walk over to Chaopraya II and check out the offerings. If I do not like what I see--or I feel lazy--then I stop in at Chavalla on the way back to the BTS.
This site has the best TV, and they seem to maintain an acceptable level of upkeep on the rooms. On this trip it seems they have upgraded the TV offerings and you can now get the standard satellite feed with 3-5 English speaking channels. They used to have a porn channel--but that appears to have disappeared. I recently went with #48 (Pit). She is not the best looker, but she has a great attitude, a nice rack that you can handle during the happy ending, and she probably gave me the best massage I have ever had at that place.
The site on Sukimvit is a little worn. I had to look at water stains on the ceiling in the room I was in, and the TV left a lot to be desired. Also--I have found that some of the women here will negotiate a tip for better service. The standard practice at Chavalla is Massage and BJ (covered). But some girls will cheat the system. I went with #51 here (Ying) and she pays the mamasan to let her do more with a client. But frankly, I will never see her again, because she negotiated extra tip for everything. Fortunately, her English was not good enough to negotiate the transaction cleanly and I got out at my standard fare. She is a nice lady, but I just hate having to negotiate everything. By the way, this is the only woman who has ever done that to me at Chavalla since they went to the $1300 baht price structure.
Anyways, I just wanted to put in a good word for this place. I don't think it competes with Barons for sheer fun and freakiness, but it is a relaxing visit with no work on your part. And the women acquire skills there that I have yet to see fromt the experienced ladies at Star of Light.

sorry I just dont understand why you pay 2000 upfront, when the price is 1300, is just dont make any sense, you pay over 50% more, why dont you wait to after the massage and it was good then give the girl a tip, but over 50 % in tips I dont understand, for me it sound " like here comes the rich farang and money is no issue for me" god damm the price is 1300 and not 2000, and no im not a cheap charlie, I like to tip for good service, but not upfront.

Wow. This post bring back memories. I used to be a regular customer at Chavalla on Sri Ayuthaya...let me think...at least 30 years ago. The place had small compartments with just a bathtub and a narrow bed in it in those days...not big enough for a TV. But, one attaction wasthe huge selection room with 100 plus ladies of all ages in it.
The standard drill was simply a long bath and basic massage finished off with a hand job for which hot oil could be used. Believe it or not... Thai girls didn't do a BJ on those days...covered or not. And if you wanted boom boom you had to arrange it outside....for which you needed some basic Thai to set-up because none of the girls talked English.Mostly they were married or had boy friends who turned up at midnight to take them home on a motor bike.
Oh! Yes, there was another attaction. The one hour service cost only 100 baht...two hours 200 baht. A girl would also be happy with a 100 tip....my Thai friends felt 50 baht was enough. Of course, back then you could go across town by taxi for 10 baht and 15 baht to the airport. Them were the days!
Maybe I will some time go back to Chavalla but probably not. I have moved on in my life and would rather keep the institution as a pleasant memory.

the times I have visited, only 3 to 12 gals in the bowl. I paid 1300baht ( 2 hrs ) after the session down stairs at the cashier and tip the girls in the room before exiting.
full service exists at no extra cost and I always got bbbj. might be tougher to get if falang ( bbbj ).

And you probably can get by with just a 3-500baht tip. I just tend to go ahead and give the gal 2000 baht to cover the cost plus her tip. I figure if I am getting two good pops and a great bath--a 700 baht tip is a bargain. Hell--don't forget over at Barons people are paying 1000 baht for BJ and 1500 tip for full service.
And yes I too remember the old cubicle days. That was really funny because you could hear everyone in these giant rooms. On a busy night it was like you were sitting in a giant night BJ market. Once--a gal I knew there heard me and popped up over the cubicle to say high. it was wierd.

At Baron's, one pays 400/hr for massage, then 'tips' (pays) 1500 for full service. Angels is the same, as I recall. The 400 per hour basically amounts of the cost of a short time room, and the house does not participate in the monetary transaction for the additional services.
My understanding of Chevala, was that one paid 1300 to the house for both bath and full service, and that any 'tip' provided was a real tip, and not the cost of the full service/bj/hj/etc.
Is that correct? Or is 1300 the cost of the bath, and fj/hj/bj are covered in the amount of the 'tip?'

I was talking with Tip (#48) and she provided me this information... The 1300 baht does infact cover bath, massage, and HJ/BJ. The place is known for BJ expertise, and you should know that it is almost always covered. Some girls go bareback, but it is their choice and are not supposed to be found out.
The girls work for commission only, and they get 600baht out of the 1300. Frankly, I believe that they raised the price years ago in order to build in a tip for the girls. They used to have to negotiate and frankly I would bet that many of their clientele were not great tippers. But I have traditionally tipped the girls and never had much complaint over the amount. I believe you could give the gal 1500 baht and she would expect to pay the fee and only keep a 300 baht tip.
Generally, I round up to 2000--1300 fee plus 700 tip. However, I am used to the system and tend to expect great service and two shots if possible.
Up to you, is the standard.
I would say this in closing my thoughts on Chavella. If you are inclined to enjoy Sazanka--then Chavalla is a nice experience for comparison. The skill for the finishing shot is comparable. The rest of the experience is night and day between the two.
