OK, directions. Much as lanzeloetchen's older post above. But I'll try to be more detailed. 1. If you're coming from Sukumvit from Asoke, you'll cross the Klong Toey flyover. Keep coming. 2. Do not go up the bridge that leads to the Rama 3 Central. 3. Instead keep to your left. Swing round down Rama 3. You may need to glance at a map (Babaganoosh help us!). Keep following Rama 3 around. You'll pass Nanglinchee Rd. on the right. There is an old orange cafe/massage on that corner closed down for the past few years, called Swing (in Thai), still standing vacant. 4. Pass the bottom end of big Narathiwat Rd. It runs north and has a canal in it. 5. At this point you should be under the new green flyover bridge of Rama 3. Keep going. 6. Continue on a few hundred yards past Narathiwat and the first place mentioned in on the left. At night should be lit up. But the staff in there did not agree with my aesthetic. 7. Continue on about 200 more yards or so and the place I liked is on the right. These places are pretty lit up at night, though I'm more of a daytime stroller myself. If you can't read the big signs in Thai that present the wonderful 3 letter word for massage, I suggest learning those 3 letters in Thai right away if you learn to read no other letters!!!! Well there are the seven pillars of getting there; sorry to be so long-winded, but I try to include landmarks as requested. Basically, both these places are just on Rama 3 past Narathiwat Rd. Actually there are plenty more in the area all the way up to Chan Rd and up to the Bangkok Bridge a couple more in that direction, and more on side roads too. Some are talked about in another thread (though not all of them! still many I haven't tried! ha ha) --mostly I've noticed in the Misc Nightlife section through such postings as "Numbered Hotels", "Karaoke", "Cheapest in Bangkok", etc, rather than massage it seems because most places have cafes etc attached. Bangkok is teeming with fun places, if you look and like to get out of the specifically "made for foreigners" milleu.

Wow Baba, you let loose both barrels of buckshot! One of the Japanese maps hit the zone; and the Thai map with Tawan Daeng a very well known pub (among the Thai) did too. Part of the problem is that many people and maps wrongly refer to the road Central Rama 3 department store is on as... Rama 3. But it's actually on nothing more than a road (which has a long bizarre name) along and under the Chalerm Nakorn expressway on its way to Rama !X Bridge as on this map: http://www.apartmentbangkok.com/mapguide/maprama3_pad.htm Central Rama 3 is on that blue strip between Narathiwat Ratchananakarin (Narathiwat, sometimes also incorrectly refered to as Chong Nonsi) and Sathu Pradit. But you can see that the real Rama 3 winds down along the river. The place we're after is just to the west of Narathiwat, along Rama 3, a couple hundred yards. West would be towards the bridges. Also the Kansas City cafe shown on one of those Japanese maps I've often passed and it looks very interesting (though it's much farther down than the place I reported on). Enjoy!

Not sure how to tell you, Makob, since I can't read it and I can't type it either! lol Wait... OK, there is some English on that map. On the right hand side there's a place marked as HO Kitchen (believe it or not). The 2 purple boxes above that which say TM in white, that should be the places I mentioned... So looking at the map, I definately preferred the place on the left. Have fun!

You are aware [I assume] that most of the little icons -especially the important ones like your TTM and MP venues- are actionable and will bring up another window with the places' pics if you mouseover them and give 'em a click, right?
