Skip, I have stayed there in the past. I stayed in the Tulip Suite and really liked it - nicely furnished. Security was guest-friendly and would always open the door and greet me and my "guest" with a smile. There are two caveats: the daily breakfast is ho-hum, and it's quite a distance away from the main Sukhumvit Road. However, the place does offer free shuttle service to the Emporium from about 10 am to about 5 pm (at hourly intervals), on the weekdays.

mt, Thanks, that's good to know. The architecture and amenities look stunning. Easy to ascertain too with the panoramic websites they market it with. I'm thinking in terms, and attempting now, to find a location for maybe six weeks or so over the summer. *head bowed* Please, let it be so. That's a real plus that it has an Emporium shuttle, assuming you're travelling with some nice suits of course. LOL What about its proximity to other areas and the BTS? Or other transport options? I kinda liked hiring the motorcycle taxis, letting them bob 'n weave while you enjoy the breexes on the back. Is its location a positive, all in all, would you say, for a longer stay, or would it be too tedious for the back and forth to the cities' action spots? Or, asked another way, if it's far from Sukhumvit is what its close to worth the trade off? Thanks again.

Skip, the President Park is located on Soi 24 and is quite a walk down from the main Sukhumvit road. How far? Well, I did it once during the day and swore never to do it again. Although, it is doable during the cooler evenings. Since their free shuttle takes you to the Emporium, the Phrom Phong BTS station is right there next to it. Also, Baron's is right there across from the Emporium. Cabs drive by the PP all the time so catching one merely requires you to wait about 6 seconds. It's about a 35-baht ride to/fro the PP and the Emporium. However, traffic during the day can be a real bitch though. The motorcycle taxis are just all around the Phrom Phong BTS station so that's never a problem. I happen to think that the PP offers great value for the money with great amenities. Since you mentioned a possible stay of six weeks, you certainly want to get comfy, and a large serviced apartment like the PP will go a long way in doing that. I've found that most serviced apartments tend to be further away from the main Sukhumvit road anyway. Perhaps it's quieter that way.

GP is my regular hotel and I stay quite often there. The Senz beauty salon next to the pool is nothing but a in -house massage salon. Always got a good FJ for total 2500. First they all play the 'I am shy' , 'can not do with cusomers' game but at the end (and 2000 tip) they will be more than happy to do ALL for you. Just one time a girl refused to do full service, no problem they will send another one.

Lini, This is very welcome news. How long has it been since your last stay? How many girls are available to choose from, how do they rate in looks, and quality of service?

SIKP, stayed in the Grand President 3 weeks ago, so the memories are quite good . Quality of service was always good, if the tip is good or if they need some money they will also stay LT in your room. I rate the girls 5-8, would recommend 'Ning'. There's another very beautiful girl, but i think you just can f_ck her if she likes you. Enjoy your stay in the Grand President with these girls.

Gentlemen My first trip to BKK I stayed at the GP and found it excellent - the Tulip Suite is available at around £25GB per night. Since then I have always stayed at the PP and find it much better (three pools, snooker, pool, at least 4 restaurants) though I agree breakfast leaves something to be desired. PP is a bit more expesnive than GP but their "rack rates" are excellent and the service is great. NO problem taking girls etc. I am slightly biased as these hotels are part of a chain owned by my very good friend, but I would be happy to sugegst a "rack rate" discount for listers if enough people showed an interest to make it worthwhile. It is very possible to get better rates than at these hotels but they have absolutely no problem with you leaving for a few days away and "holding" rooms at NO charge - something that you can't do with pre-booked cheap internet deals at some of the other popular hostelrys. BK - I am back on the 25th December - maybe we could meet up and discuss hotel discounts for listers + a back hander for your good self of course (biggrin)

Whitespider, count me in. If they make it worth my while, I'll be more than happy to patronize them. I'm in BKK usually for 10-14 day stints and will definitely give them the business if they sweeten the pot. And please let them know that the "free" breakfast is quite horrid.

Wh SP I always stay at the GP, mainly for the convenience - location, location, location, and the company has a discount there. They often give me a better room than what has been booked and I have been very happy there. I have never had a problem taking ladies to the rooms, have only ever been asked for the lady in question to supply an ID, but not always. I only wish they had frequent staying points, as I am there often.
