I get what you're saying now and I empathise with a lot of it. I completely agree that there isn't really anywhere to match Mango in the period you are talking about, or for that matter Tulip in the days when you could walk in and find girls Like Pim, C, Guitar and several others sitting in the line-up - or, indeed, Baron's before Tulip. I guess I'm hoping that it is a temporary movement in the market and that there is an echelon of lively cuties form Nakhon Phanom, Surin, Khorat and wherever poised to take up the reins. But I fear you may be right and that the scene is changing irrevocably in a way that does not favour seasoned punters.
As a matter of interest, what sector of the scene do you have in mind when you refer to a high end? Is it the soapies in places like Rachada Road, or something else, like some of the clubs that have occasionally been mentioned (remember Pegasus, although I'm not even sure if that still exists) ? I ask because my own inclination would be to go mongering less often, but spend more on a quality experience rather than risking the disappointment of taking a girl who is at best moderate looking and receiving poor to indifferent service.

I think the G Clubs are high end and have some good looking gals, but it requires quite a bit of effort and money, and the last thing I want to do is romance working girls. Rachada soapies have some lookers but I am really not willing to sacrifice performance to that extent.

Yup! I've tried several of the Rachada places and taken some beautiful women at premium prices only to have to deal with lacklustre or wretched service. Had some luck at Nataree and High Class before now, but they are at the moderate price level for those soapies, therefore hardly high end - and for every good girl I've taken at Nataree there has always been at least one duff experience to even things out.
I have not tried the G Clubs, but I also find the idea of having to romance working girls off-putting. Traditionally, the great thing about Thailand was that you could quite often find a GFE service girl without having to waste time on the mind games that often come with supposedly respectable relationships. My experience suggests that whilst it can still be possible to find a GFE provider it is getting rarer. And it would seem that spending money is no guarantee of performance. The only thing is to keep on looking and hope for some luck. Lets hope the year of the ram is a propitious sign for both of us.

Day 4
