Day 2 Evening
I’m too tired and still affected by jet lag. I decide to call in Snow White. I call them and try to make a booking to my hotel. Day 11 (approximately 7-10 days ago)

Yep, also the concept of personal pronoun is not known to them, so they apply what they hear first.
I once had a regular who referred to my wife as "mywife" instead of 'your wife' when she mentioned her or asked about her... As in "When mywife she come back BKK?"
Took me some time to get used to that...

I've never heard a bigger load of horseshit. Of COURSE Thais have the concept of personal pronouns...it's a human language, and like all human languages it's perfectly capable of expressing all manner of subtlety needed for social interaction. Just because YOU don't understand their particular concept/use of pronouns, doesn't mean they're not there.
As for the "mywife" thing, that's a common mistake when Thais learn English, and speaks more to their poor educational system than any so-called deficiency in their native language. They think the word "my" is a possession marker, regardless of person.
And in the previous post, the TG is not referring to herself "in the third person" at all...in Thai, especially among females, it's very common to use one's name as a first-person pronoun...since our native language always influences how we speak second (and third) languages, they just carry this over into their English use.
You guys really need to expand your horizons and learn to speak more than just English, and realize that the rest of the world's perspective on things is not necessarily (or even usually) the same as yours. Let me guess...Americans, right?

I totally agree! :-D And I wasn't bashing the Thai lingo... I was just amused by some of the effects the clash of linguistic concepts can show...
