Haircuts are 250 baht now, presumably in an attempt to recover some of the rennovation costs.
The front of Lotus is now split into the haircut salon and a sort of cafe which has tables inside and outside the shop where you can have a sandwich or a cake and a soft drink or beverage.
Access upstairs in the front to other areas aligned to hair care. Through the frosted glass door at the back of the salon you have access to the rear area (?) where you discreetly enquire about the massage options and view the providers.
The rear entrance from soi 24 still provides the shy guy in search of some relief to enter without having to go through the front entrance.
While I was there to have my haircut, about eight western ladies came in and were directed upstairs in the salon part of the shop for additional beauty care...............additional staircase installed.................maybe massage available also for them. I don't know.
But you can certainly place your grandmother in the cafe that has a glass window wall looking into the hair salon, it looks so legit, so no blow-jobs while you are having your hair-cut.
It's all so different from the old Baron Barber as much as chalk from cheese. A bit sad really. But if the boys in brown have it in for you, and they have been victimized as well as being torn apart by internal politics, then you have no choice but to change.
I didn't enquire about the prices of massage, so I don't know if those prices have been hiked up as well to recouperate the money spent on the renovations. But I would suspect that the individual provider's asking price from specials would not have risen because now they are surrounded with a forest of alternative venues for the pleasure seeker.
