Regarding April,
Part of my disappointment was because I enjoyed her as one of the more conversant of the Tulip girls. I don't go there for the conversation, but, in 2 hours it's hard to stay mute, and it certainly adds something to the process if you have a connection other than the transactional. For that a little understanding of shared realities, even if no more than popular movies, places of origin, preferences in food can add to an already pleasurable experience. She could cover all of that. None of this is really for her benefit, except for what she may choose to enjoy, or learn, from the process. I'm only there for one reason, and April (at Tulip, when she was strictly a "working girl"), knew it. All of my efforts to "add" something to an otherwise very basic relationship was accepted by her, but no substitute for baht, and I'm sure the more the better.
So, her tendency to lose interest in the last few minutes was okay with me, she probably needed to reset herself for the next phase of her day, either a long wait or a new set of needs, either way I was near history. But, if Nong is relying on her to cover the front she needs to bone up on basic P.R., in her own selfish interest.
