First of all, I want to apologize to Meatywsg for getting your name wrong in my post. I have heard of the Chavalla III--but how far out is it? It sounds like it is past the BTS station. How is it for a cab ride? You know, I laugh because many years ago--when I first found this place--they were selling shares in the establishment. I don't remember how much it costs, and frankly I did not know if I-a farang-could have bought in. But I have often wondered. I frequent the place enough. And I am glad to see that 3 is the working number there. You are a lucky dog if you live there

No worries Ely, no worries For directions Chavala III is a little more fun, I've taken the below off of another board I use where someone new to bangkok asked where Chavala III was. I would suggest taking the BTS to Phra Kanong (see this site for a map of the BTS, actually an all round good site for maps in Bangkok http://www.bangkok-maps.com/frameme.php?page=bts.htm You want to come down the side where the traffic is heading in the same direction as On Nut, so away from town. Jump a cab and tell him sukhumvit soi 71, He will drive straight and then take soi 71, a left turn off of the sukhumvit. On the left of this soi are sub sois, they are numbered on blue signs, you are looking for soi 45, it has a long name beginning with P, but doesn't matter, if you hit Petburi road you've missed it, but as all the numbers are odd on the left, you have 22 countdown warnings ! Turn into a very small soi, drive 50 meters and you'll see a very old, closed looking building with pointed roof, i'd suggest you let the taxi follow the road to the left, away from Chavala, there is a office type builing here on the left, get out here, and walk back to Chavala, just in case of any taxi charges. Follow the red arrow signs intended for cars and you'll come across a black glass door on your right, enter and go up some curly stairs, turn right at the top and walk into the fishbowl. Of course, for 1,300 Baht I would happily pick you up from the BTS and take you there

Thanks for the directions and map links. When I get back to BKK, I will have to try the place. I am sure regular cab fare is much less--so if you want 1300 baht to drive me I will expect a happy ending.

From what I gather, officially the opening hours are about 2 pm, and the sign stays on 'til about 10 or 12 pm (the electric sign turns on around sunset; there is also a small sign in Thai opposite Soi 45 on Pra Khanong trying to point you to go across the street, lol, though half of its neon is burned out). BTW, if you go over Klong Tan on Pra Khanong, you've gone too far in the Petchaburi direction. Soi 45 is the last left you can take on Pra Khanong before you go over the Klong bridge. If you got out of the taxi at Soi 45, it's a 1 minute walk down the street to the Chawala, which would be on your right (north side of the soi), just before the soi makes an abrupt lefthand turn, on it's meandering way to Ekkamai. You'll also see a few taxi cabs parked opposite the Chawala in the little storeside lot, which could be used for a discrete getaway, lol, or you can just do the walk of shame back out to Pra Khanong. My partner in crime has frequented the place, and reports some very polite and fine looking lasses who speak very little English. He happened to drop in there one day during lunch, before 2 pm, but was given service anyway, and with a very polite set of smiles. They don't see many farangs there, so you get less of the jaded BG/farang nonsense. This particular Chawala has a small fishbowl, and rows of curtain-hotel car ports where the ladies do the dirty deed, lol! The main building is rather small, but the car-park rooms area is fairly large. Enjoy! And be sure to post a field report! It is very good value for the punting dollar. - Balls

Spot on, theres also a 7-11 on the corner of the soi as you turn into it.

?? Never experienced this, I know where you mean as this is where I park my car, but i've always been taken to the rooms at the back of the fishbowl, never back down the stairs to the car port rooms ! What am I missing !!?! Iwas there at 12pm last Saturday, had to wait nearly an hour for a girl, the one in the bowl was way too old, the one I ended up with was well worth the wait in the looks department, but not so skillful in the sack.

Meatywsg, I rechecked my source about the curtain motel rooms vs. inhouse treatment, lol, as I started to question that too. You're right, my source told me that he was taken to the inhouse rooms (same building in the complex that houses the fishbowl) for the massage and special services. If one is standing outside the fishbowl building and looking due west, you'll see the first row of curtain motel rooms that run north-south. There are five or six north-south buildings in rows behind that first one, and it's were gents with dates go, lol, or those that bring a car and want ladies from the fishbowl in more "secluded" settings, lol! It's a pretty big complex, and does a brisk business in the curtain rooms after the sun sets and the Thai's arrive after work. My "source" also said he compared the fishbowl and rooms to a sort of upscale Annie's (not the girls, just the environment). He's frequented Annie's before (along with yours turly, lol), so I would be curious to hear your take on the quality of the inhouse room facilities. For a couple of reasons (tragedy of tragedies), this particular Chawala is a no-fly zone for me. - Balls

Re: Meatywsg quote: "On the left of this soi are sub sois, they are numbered on blue signs, you are looking for soi 45, it has a long name beginning with P, but doesn't matter, if you hit Petburi road you've missed it." As Meaty probably knows, the "P" is for Pridibanomyong, so all the soi's have this as part of their name, e.g., Soi Pridibanomyong 45. This particular soi (Pridi 45) is also known as Soi Yaworat (sp?). The sois are all named after a Thai influential mucky-muck from times past. He was influential enough to get his name on every soi on Pra Khanong, lol! If you say to a cabbie in Thai: "bpai sukhumvit jet sip et, pridi see sip ha khup!" he will know where to go. You can reinforce this with "klong tan khup" after that. Most cabbies know that location, and some may actually say "soi yaworat mai?" to which you can reply with an affirmative grunt, lol. BTW, after you've finished the dirty deed at the Chawala, if you walk the few meters to Pra Khanong and grab a cab going in the Pethcaburi direction, they can do a u-turn under the overpass that goes over Klong Tan and head back to the Pra Khanong BTS or Onnut BTS stops (the righthand turn to the Pra Khanong BTS can be a little slow at rush hour; sometimes faster to go left/east on Suk to Onnut, then grab the BTS back to lower Suk). Not all the cabbies know about the u-turn, but the access road to get under the overpass is right next to the 7-11 that Meatywsg mentioned. That 7-11 is right before Pra Khanong goes up and over the klong overpass, so it's also the best thing to look for as you are heading for the Chawala. And remember, file a field report, lol! - Balls

Hi Ballsburstin, I was back here on Sunday and worked out that the in house rooms, are actually along the top of the first row of car port rooms, so I was wrong, this place isn't a tardist !!! Had an absolutely amazing 2 hr session here, with, IMO, a stunner, she was great , 3 pops and she wasn;t adverse to a finger in her bum either, I tried for AS , but as I started sliding in she said it was hurting too much, being too nice I dropped it and we enjoyed other pleasantries . Unfortunately my freind who went with me had an aweful 2hrs, well 15.hrs actually, girl was terrible, her number was 9 , but the good girls number remains a secret
