Just wondering who else is planning the big move... seems like at any one time there are at least 3 or 4 people... I am planning on moving to BKK in early December. I thought perhaps others who are moving there around that time might like to keep in touch prior to the move and meet up once in a while over there...

Happy to keep in touch, mate. Just pm me. This forum has been absolutely invaluable to me as I contemplate my move. You can do no better than use its resources.
When you're there, it sounds like the monthly RT meetings are a good place to network with the brothers. I was intending to go to the July meeting, but couldnt make it. I'll certainly be at the October one if it's after the 16th.

Just bought my ticket yesterday, gonna try and book Jasmine for a month tomorrow. I get in Dec. 16th but am gonna be out of BKK from the 25th till around the 7th of Jan. (go to Phillipines and Pattaya). Giving myself a few weeks to get the whoring out of me before I start and get serious about my business.

Just got a job with a thai co. tho so have to be very discreet as this is something my employers would frown upon! But truth be told, I have made a lot of new friends within the co. I work for and some of them are stunning, single, thai ladies who are looking only for long term relationships...
this tends to be hard work with no guaranteed "success" as it were so I still do my thing at nana, cowboy or if really hard up at Biergarden !!!

Well either way it will be interesting to see what happens... I don't mean that I am gonna stop going to Nana only that I am gonna have to tone it down, unlike when I am on vacation and spend every single night going out to Nana or someplace like it...
It will be good to meet up with at the recent transplants when my move is complete.

Arrived for full-time living in August (2004).
People often ask, "How long you stay Thailand".
I answer, "Until I go to heaven!" <grin>
My choice of living area is near Phrom Pong, Washington Square, Sukhumvit sois 22 and 33. Excellent landing zone for newly-arrived, English-speaking, expat: restaurants and pubs, Villa Market with comfort food from "home", close to BTS Skytrain, enough other expats that I never feel isolated.
After 3-1/2 months here, I'm still "defrosting", but there are many, smiling, TGs who are eager to help with that. <grin>
