1. I have a visa from Chicago consulate office from March 14-Sep 13, 2011 (number of entries 2)
2. I entered Thailand on April 9, 2011
3. I got a 30 day extension that allowed me to stay till July 7, 2011
4. My ticket to Singapore is on July 8, 2011
Should I go to Immigration Division 1 at Government Complex Changwatana for a one day extension or I should pay the fine at the Airport? What is the best course of action.
If I pay the fine at the airport, what documents (including any Pic) I should have to submit at the airport?
If I want to get the one day extension at the Government Complex, can I do on the same day it expires (i.e. July 7) ?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

why not leave tomorrow??
if not, I would risk the 1 day. used to be no fine and no stamp, just be very apologetic.
for airport you just need your passport, no other documents such as photos.
you may go for visa extension, the same day your visa expires.

normally 1 day overstay does not have a fine... (unless this has changed)
its on the 2nd day the fine is 500b...

... as others cite above, give yourself an extra 30-60 minutes ay Immigration just in case it is exceptionally busy.
... when you hit Immigration, you will be asked to step over to a desk behind the Immigration lines... there, an Immigration officer will check your passport, write up a paper for you to sign, and present you an invoice for THB 500/day... sign the paper (an admission of guilt), pay the fine, they stamp you through, and you are then on your way.
... be sure you have THB cash... no other documents are required.
... it is an administrative fine, and not subject to their interpretation... no black mark in you passport prohibiting your return... a very low-level infraction for which you might be waved through for only a one day violation, as nyc boy notes.
... I've done this half a dozen times over the last decade... no sweat, don't even give it a thought.

If you overstay by a day, you will not be fined if you leave at the airport (and not at the border). I've done this a couple of times, with no hassles at all. The reason for this, I guess, is to make allowance for passengers who leave at night and their flights are after midnight, which means that the stamp would be on the next day.

It's not exactly a 3 month tourist visa. It's a single entry tourist visa.
Just to clarify, ringthebells: when he entered the country, he only got 60 days. The extension he will get is for 30 days. Total stay possible is 90 days.
AFAIK, you have to do it in person. That lawyer might have certain connections, but I'm sure that'd mean quite a bit of tea money.
