Does anyone have any experience, or any additional information on this place? I'm looking for a place to stay for a friend of mine who failed prepare for her trip. She is now in Bangkok, and just moved into a 170 Baht a night hovel on Khao San Road, which is just pityful.
Intercourt rents apartments (well, really, rooms) at 2,700 Baht per month (but at least they have in-room showers and crappers), but was just wondering if anyone has experience with them, or knows of a similarly priced alternative.

Quite a number of buses on Soi 71 go to (or near) the BTS station.

How noisy is Intercourt? For THB 2,700/month, I'm wondering if this is the equivalent of a cardboard box.
Do you get to hear all the intimate details of the lives of the other tenants?
What does an average electricity bill run for someone with a computer and a DSL connection?

Very quiet. The building is in a quiet soi away from Suk 71 (this can be also a disadvantage as it's a 15 minute walk, but free motorcycle shuttle available).
The rooms are quite well built. Noise can only be heard at excessive volume levels and if doors are kept closed.
The floor I am living on (top floor) is very very quiet. Other floors are quiet to moderate noisy (floor 2/3).
I myself have a powerful home theater which 'blasts' at times at night. No complaints.

I actually have two rooms. The bill of my computer room is around 140 baht per month (No aircon/lights, but fan blowing around 5-6 hours a day). The DSL modem draws electricity from the computer....

I went to "inspect" Intercourt at then end of April and was disappointed with the whole place, as the really well done website is suggesting.
Location: Really far of Sukhumvit 71 and basically right in the middle of no where. Meaning at least a 15 to 20 min walk from the main road, no 7-11 around the corner etc. litteraly somewhere out in the woods and bloody far from BTS Prakanong. Petchburi Road is closer than Sukhumvit.
Building: 15 years old, that's what the office manager said, but it looked older. Renovations should start in May as per Manager. That true Dr. L.??
Anyway, this is suggesting lots of noise to come.
Rooms: Had a look on the 3k a month rooms and they looked extremly smallish and again just old, not been taken care of for a long time etc.
It might be ok if you stay in a room on the top floor but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.
I found a great pleace, which is just a 10min walk from Prakanong station which is 3k a month incl. electric and water bill and all the shopping is just a stones throw away. Also, internet cafe which charge just 25 Baht an hour.

Xray, I do agree with your observations.
The previous owner sold the place because he didn't have the money to renovate the place. The new owner started by replacing the aircon units with new Samsung models.
Painting, supermarket should start in a few weeks.
Alhough the premises may not be that great and the location is not so good, I am more than satisfied with my (double) room for 5,000 baht (43 sqm).
And it's very quiet.... unlike most of the places I stayed in the last 10 years.
