Info on the Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Min. I recently got a 60 day tourist visa, but they told me they wouldn't issue another tourist visa at this location. I've used up most of my 90 days in the last 6 months and only received one tourist visa in Laos since I got here. The consulate could be limiting visas. If you go there, bring one photo and they only take US dollars.

$30 or about the same in Thai Baht with the terrible exchange rate. Bring a copy of your airline ticket back to Thailand as well. The woman at reception wasn't that friendly.

I am a bit worried now, from the remarks.
I came to Bangkok in Jan thia year and left in March
think I had topay for two days late.
Came here 30th nov. chap at the counter looked through my passport book stamp it till 29th dec, and then ask how long you stay Bangkok it was only going to be 4 days, so I said 4days, ok he said.
I can now only fly to HCMC on the 11th Dec back on 22Dec, my question is, does the trip in Jan count
and should I go and get a 60 visa in HCMC.
or come back and do a visa run to Laos being that I have to leave on the 29th

That's a bit weird, Gminn03...
I got a tourist visa from there, no trouble, in December 07. No comments were made.
I did the same in July of this year and, although they took my passport out the back for a worrying chat, again they made no comment and I got the visa.
They are a bit painful with their insistence on paying in US dollars only though. And what's with the insisting on seeing the ticket to Thailand, not one back to your own country? It doesn't make sense at all!

This seems to be the most recent posting specifically on this.
Would appreciate any advice on Visa Runs...
1. Where is best to go?
2. How to go?
3. I hope to get a 60 day tourist Visa...would I have to stay overnight wherever I end up going?
