I will only comment on your posts, as I have done for the past few years, if what you are saying is wrong. An accurate factual statement from you will not be questioned by me.
So where did you actually proof where I was 'wrong'? I clearly remember the Mike Shopping Mall thread, the 'Prabal' thread and the Soleil du Siam thread in which you were sure I was wrong without any proof. In fact, I proofed you were wrong and you had to apologize 'I stand corrected' at least five times. Oh, yeah, and then you said Songkran is celebrated in Thailand as from the 12th of April.....

I see that Doc is avoiding the question I asked. Why is the current visa policy such a burden to legitimate tourists? 90 days is what.... nearly 13 weeks? Come to LOS, party and whore around to your heart's content; then take some pretty memories back home and come again next year (or after 13 weeks if you are really pressed). I will say again, if you want to live and work (or retire here) do it legitimately. BTW Doc, what is your opinion on immigration in your country of citizenship? Would you want an open door for any druggie, crime-boss, sex-fiend, and slacker to stay in your country indefinitely? Because that is what it takes not to be able to get a legit visa in LOS...

After I proofed it, it is indeed incorrect....
In any event I do not see what the trouble is with the current restrictions. For the average tourist (sex and otherwise) the current restrictions are no burden. On the other hand, if you want to live in LOS long-term then get a proper visa and do it legally.
Now excuse me, I didn't see a question in here... it's one of your 'I got it right' statements.
I will say again, if you want to live and work (or retire here) do it legitimately.
Another 'cut and clear' statement. In reality, it's not that simple. A close look at, for my example, I don't work and I cannot retire yet as I am not 50 yet. So no non-immigrant B/work permit or retirement visa is available for me. The only alternative is to get Tourist visas and border runs which are currently limited. I guess a lot of other people who like to stay here for a long time are in the same position. There alternatives though, but these are not easy to perform like opening a business etc. Even marrying a Thai doesn't solve your problems. Check out the visa section of Thai Visa and realize your statements or thoughts are far from the reality.
Doc, what is your opinion on immigration in your country of citizenship?
Actually after living here for 25 years, I don't really give a hoot. Perhaps you don't recall where I hail from, but my country (The Netherlands) has always been a friendly country for immigrants. But still I don't see the connection between your questions and my short post about rumors going round.

Actually as I am in the process of opening an Outsourcing Center in Thailand I am well aware of the problems of starting a business. In my case I am just a humble IT Consultant but I am not having any problems with the process. Actually it is simpler than in seems if you have the investment, certifications, and business plan all lined up. So if you are "Internet Consultant with having a few major companies as my clients" then it should be a 'slam-dunk' for you. A letter of reference from your 'major clients' will open the doors and make your case even simpler than mine. Or do you not work Doc? If so how do you obtain income? How do you support yourself? You do not (gasp) work unlawfully, do you? One can not expect any country to allow foreigners with no established source of income to become long-term residents. This is counter-productive to society as a whole, particularly a developing country like Thailand. Several BTF posters I know have either returned to their home countries or taken work elsewhere in the world when their work-permits have ran out. They continue to try to find work in LOS but they do it within the bounds of Thai law. So how about it Doc, isn't it time to 'get with the program'...
