Agree with HS. Just too complicated for a four month stay.

Even a double entry is not necessary for 120 days.

Just get a single entry TR, extend it it Bangkok for another 30 days, the make a convenient border run with Jack Golf.

So.... 60+30+30 should do the job. Easy....

Apply today before noon, receive next day 1:00 pm.
Closed on Saturday and Sunday (and holidays).
Holidays in Laos differ from those in Thailand so check first.

Cost THB 2,000. Passport and a photo.

There are guys in front of the embassy who assist you with getting the form, filling it in, copying your passport and attaching the photo to the form. About 100 baht.

You can, of course, do this yourself.

DrLove,

Planning a visa run to Laos (22-25 Sep), will that be enough time to get a 180 day multi-entry visa?? I'd be happy with getting a 60 day entry visa!!

Tried searching for info on requirements, but upcountry access/speed is limited..........more info pls (paperwork requirements, time required and cost).

Thanks,

you know, too bad Thialand does not have a program like in the U.S. where if someone applies for a green card and invests a certain amount into a business, they (pedning background) will be issued the green card....

If Thailand made the amount say 10 million baht into an approved (name your definition) company, they woul dbe given long term visas.... would certainly attract foreign capital.... also have that type of visa set under a more leniant visa qualification program in terms of foreign to Thai employees, etc... but that would make too much sense......

1) Time will be enough. If you manage to apply in the morning, you can leave the next day.
2) Costs... 2,000 baht for a double entry (not multiple entry!), the hotel costs around 30-35 dollars per day. You can walk from the hotel to the embassy. Food is a little bit more expensive than Thailand.
3) Paperwork.... told you, passport and a photo.

They used to have investment visa's, but turns out farangs kept coming to Thailand and expecting the Thai's to get off their asses and do some real work - so they cancelled the program.
