MN, first now Burma has a e-visa system that can provide you a visa in 24 hours......but, I have a funny thought about it...they ask payment by credit card but for what I know, the US and EU still impose a ban on transaction on US$ in Burma....so how the heck is the Burmese Gov going to handle with the payments? Scam is on the air?
Btw, talking about stupid people......I always face a disturbing problem with the middle/junior management of Thai companies, expecially hotels....they always say "mai dai, mai dai" every time there is a situation....just to end up having me contacting the seniors and get a posivite replay...and have them blamed for their "mai dai mai dai" attitude.....and they never learn! Same guy, similar situation, same ending....now that's stoooopid!

Travel agent in Patpong on friday, I sat down and waited on the lounge, in fact was directed there by the busy staff to wait for a free agent. Read the paper, a customer left one table, the girl was on the phone and computer, I presumed finishing off the previous booking. New customer walked in and she directed them straight over, I looked up, looked at her and the staff in front of, put my hands in the air and shrugged my shoulders, said WTF and walked out.
Hotel booking, they quoted me a rate with breakfast, I said not want breakfast, they said have to have breakfast, I said not want breakfast, tehy said... well you know how it goes. I said quote me a rate without breakfast, they said cannot, I said I dont care what the rate, any rate, just no breakfast, they said cannot, I said quote me a rate more than the inclusive breakfast and she said, cannot. I said so you do not have a rate without breakfast, she said no, I said ok, if you cannot give me a rate without breakfast, I go stay elsewherem she said ok.
Travel agent in CM, booking ticket to Jakarta, she said sorry Thai airways closed no I cannot do, come back tomorrow, I said there is no thai airways number at the airport or in Bkk that you can book, she said no, then made a phone call and got a price. I said good, book it, she then said but that is a different airline, but I told you I want Thai, she said ok but this is the price for Indoair, I said I am happy for them, but I told you I want Thai, ok but this price for Indo, I not sure Thai price now. Ok bye bye.

Coffee shop. They have a 'buy five get one free' promo. It works by getting a card stamped every time you buy one coffee. When you get five stamps, the next one you buy is free. Simple right?
Ok, with four stamps on my card I go to the coffee shop to get me and coworker a coffee, confident that I will in fact only have to pay for one.

'Ok here you go' (actually Thai's take an inordinate amount fo time to make coffee so I missed out the 10 minute wait)

yes, it cracks me up that there's trouble thinking out of the box and there's rarely any variables given, strict accordance to the Rules only
This is mostly due to the rote method of learning, learn/memorize the answer, but not the way to think out the answer
However when it comes to being just plain lazy, plenty can think out of the box well enough to circumvent traffic laws and drive in the wrong direction on their motorbikes, make right hand turns from the left side to avoid waiting in a queue, etc, etc.
I even see folks go out of their way (to do it wrongly) in seemingly funny circumstances to seemingly save time/distance, but in actuality they are driving the same distance as going the proper route
The proper route if far less dangerous by the way, but nevermind that ! ! 
another example is the folks who pretend to not know how to use a computer & all they can say is "Tum Mai pBen" to avoid working on the computer
yet, 2 minutes after they finish their lunch, there they are playing solitaire or some other computer game
this one is just huMAN natURE BTW, not LOS specific
except for the Tum Mai pBen which seems to be the catch all for getting out of trying to figure something out for yourself or even thinking at all
