well I just returned from a 2 week vacation about 48 hours ago and strong memories of returning from my very first holiday in January 2002 have emerged...
although I noticed many changes in Thailand in the almost 2 years since I lived there...if my life was in the same predicament as in 2002 (ie business not making money, just broken up with my girlfriend etc) I would do the exact same I did then...pack a bag and make the move !!!
fortunatly, I already did it and after 3 years living there know what everyday life in thailand can be like!
I did make friends, memories, gained international sales experience, found a little inner peace, learned alot about the world that simple travel couldnt teach, and best of all brought back a thai wife and now have a pretty good job in LA...so I will try my best to be content with an annual holiday to LOS!!
With that said..not 1 minute has gone by in the 48 hours I have been home that moving back hasnt crossed my mind 
the grass is always greener on the other side!!!!

I know many newbies get the same "fever" and my advice would be to just frekin do it....but be sure your long term furture isnt jeapordized!!!
