yep... depends where U live in the UK, but if London you'll prolly have a higher spending power in BKK with 95000 bath than in London with 2200pounds. Both options are unpleasant in my eyes, but even ridiculous wage in Bangkok bring a fair share of satisfaction!

its a good idea to not pay your credit card bills......the rest of your brothers here dont mind paying it for you. everyone gets charged wit all the high interest rates they have to pay even if they do pay on time...lol.

actually I've had loads of credit cards over the years & never paid a dime in interest to the damn companys simply by paying the balance in full after the 20-60 day free credit & even being thrown some free miles, cash whatever 
what the OP chooses to do with his balance I couldn't care less, but I wish him luch.

As nervous as you seem it might be a better idea to stay int the UK.
If you can find your sac then just do it.
As for your bills, pay them, minimum payments aren't that bad and when you get back your credit will still be intact. It's people like that that screw it up for the rest of us. It's almost as bad as overpaying for ST/Lt.
As for affordability. If you have no attachments and find a place for reasonable price under 15,000 a month you are in good shape. If you are living there full time and as ****Handsome****** as you say, you should not have to spend much to get laid. If you have the time to invest you can get it free. Even mongers on here who travel regularly get it for free. Ok maybe they go dancing or to a bar with the girl but other than that no money for boom boom mister.....
I can live on around 60,000 a month and I have a wife and daughter. It's tight but I'm ok. I travel much further than you to my work and will spend only 300 or so per year on transportation costs. I take water taxi and mass transit w/AC which is another good place to meet "free Bootie". Tutor a couple college students on the weekend "Free Bootie".
I have girlfriends who like to chat english and bump uglies, so for me it's affordable. Oh not to mention I can eat for a few hundred baht a day.

Just over a year ago the wife's best friend was living in Sukhumvit Soi 93...about a km from Sukhumvit Road.....and a 5 min motorcycle taxi ride from the end of the skytrain....one large room, small bathroom with shower only, a balcony the size of a doormat...she paid 2 or 2.5 k baht a month rent...no aircon but good ventilation so it wasn't missed...we stayed there a few times...it was okay, I'd have been happy to live there for six months or a year or so....I lived in far worse places in my student days...The friend moved now to a 6k month single room condo with 24 hr security, air, small kitchen and a nice shared pool in a complex near the Nation building on Bang Na road...prices are going up a K or so there though due to the new airport...
