Okay, this joke thread is actually quite amusing, but it's falling apart..
Barrafish' complaint and motivation to move to Myanmar is the cost of groceries increasing by 5b to 15b each - for a total of 186 THB a week ($5) - that's 744 THB per month... a whopping $18-$20 a month.
so, for $20 a month, Barrafish decides to leave the country, and move to Myanmar - where he will undoubtedly last 2-3 weeks, before returning, and costing more to get his life back together.
Aside from the fact that he could most likely shop around and find the groceries he seeks at a lower price elsewhere.
a) an unlikely scenario
b) a sadly broke individual
c) a really confused guy

Great deal on a mountain bike, Myanmar here I come.
Well I finally made the plunge on a very good mountain bike. It is a Shimano with 18 gears, good for the hilly country. I priced them at a reputable sports store in BKK and for a good second hand one it was 2000b.
So I looked around and found this particular one at a market place and was only 350b. I thought "Great Deal". When I arrived back at my apartment block, I showed a few people and they had this stupid look on their faces. I am thinking, "What are they on about".
After a real close examination I found out what they were laughing at. The Shimano mountain bike only had a front wheel, the rear wheel was not there, maybe that is why it was so cheap. Should have noticed that before I bought it, oh well.
But then again if I cannot get another wheel, it will not be that hard to ride, except for the rear forks digging into the ground.
So if there are any other BTF members who would like to come on this ride, please let me know as this has been a great ride so far.
BTW, Daffy you would not have a rear wheel for a 20" bike in your closet would you ??,
How could I eat 1KG of vegemite in a week,5555.

Barrafish, I am thinking isnt this body activity going to increase your food intake? I think you just should try too stay where you are and dont move at all! Just in the sake for saving yourself from eating more then needed. Water is cheap!

You didn't get ripped off. Those one-wheeled mountain bikes are much lighter than normal bikes and are ideal for cross country rides over hilly terrain.
I once bar-fined a girl with only one leg. But it didn't dawn on me she had a leg missing until she was back at my apartment. While she was taking a shower, I noticed she'd only left one shoe by the door. She was really light in bed and great fun to throw around. I reckon that missing leg saved about 8 or 9 kilos. Funnily enough, she was from Myanmar.

Yeah 1 wheel is ideal in hilly terrain, I have used a 1 wheel bike B4.

Yeah, you're right. In the morning I tried to explain to her that I normally pay girls at the rate of 25 baht per kilo. Since she weighed only 34 kilos, that made her LT fee 850 baht.
Well, she really kicked off at me. But since she was cute I paid her 1000 and told her to hop it. I've PM'd you her number.
