There is a border two clicks away where if you crossed it after dark Blonk you would be Murdered (if Farang)
Things aint so cosy here and safe-

I would stop comparing South favorably as maybe your unaware that most of us wouldnt live there because of the flare ups and Muslim elements-
Sure its way prettier and I agree the woman are smarter-

Life on this forum is all over Thailand-

Well, your wife said that the magic lady said that. There's always the possibility that your wife found out through other sources in the intervening two months, but, in order to protect her sources (and to spook you) she put the words in the mouth of the magic lady. Me, I'd go with that likelihood myself, but then I don't believe in magic but I do believe in Thai people's incredible networking abilities. That's the magic of 'magic'. It isn't always only the person who claims that they can do magic who is doing the scamming.
If I were the paranoid type I'd imagine that maybe it was your wife who stole the phone, having just found out about Ms O, in order to get back at you and get a good excuse to go to the magic lady all in one. But I'm not, and I don't believe that for one second. (I mean, I think it may be true, but it is just as likely that she either heard the info and stored it until an opportune time came along to use it, or she just happened to hear it last week, say).
That said, maybe the magic lady's a magic lady because she's got great networks herself. Who the f*** knows?
