IMHO hongkong is still the best.
you can arrange BVI offshore with a lawyer there, if you make to much profit all of a sudden.
otherwise tax is 14%. but even if you make a reasonable amount of money, let's say 100'000 USD,
you should not have to pay much taxes, as they are many deductables and loopholes.
every expat in singapore was moaning about the government, and the control.
thailand is crazy. they check every receipt of mine many times. mind you I had the revenue department in my office in december for a check. mid january the came with a taxbill. payable in 3 days, otherwise double.
they have to many people in the government here in need of work, so they will check everything throughly, probably a couple of times.
whereas hongkong has not enough. imagine, I usually put all my expense receipts in a shoe box, and gave amount XX. nobody ever bothered to check.
I met the couple, sauron, they were drinking in my bar a couple of times.
