After seeing the responses I wonder, if letting the wife pick out our place was a bad idea.
Sathorn, close to all my Thai family and Chao Phraya, water taxi. The place is a nice furnished 2 bed one bath w/ AC all the ammenities a running track, pool, sauna, gym, parking space and garden equipped with Gazebo, 24hr security. Is this in the range or did I get dupped....
24,000. Yah I know, how many sessions could I have if I moved into a one bedroom hole for 4,000....
Oh well, it's for my wife and daughter so I figure I should take good care of them and work on more freebies.
I gotta remember to take my brother in law for a massage. He has caught me on the street one time too many. I figure it will be better if we both have secrets instead of just me.
What do you think, one night he mentioned how he wished he could afford one....anyone have any experience with this...

Never taken my Thai brother in law for a massage yet but he is my free card for a night out. I/ve been to lolitas with him and he luvs nana plaza. of course I pay.

"he mentioned how he wished he could afford one"...he said this after catching you out? LOL Come on...that is the Thai equivalent of sticking a gun in your face and screaming "give me the money!!"
FWIW....if my BIL had the goods on me as yours does on you and dropped a capital "H" hint like that...well the wallet would be out before you could say "mia noi"...though in my case I'd keep it subtle....lose an arm wrestle, a game of pool or some other bet with him...but see he had the baht to do what he mentioned....not sure I'd want to visit a parlour with him...better to finance him and let him go his own way without gathering further visual evidence on each other...just my two satangs..Enjoy.
