The E3's (upper units) are quoting at 120,000 baht/m. Don't know about the units for the lower zone. You can call CBRE in BKK and find out.

I have checked out the Met project. I would strongly recommend that you dont purchase a unit there. So far there have been a maximum of 40 units sold according to CBRE (who would tend to exaggerate). On enquiring about the project I was asked if I wanted to buy the land - this clearly implies that the developer is not full committed to this project. My main property guy tells me that even if they do go ahead, it will not be finished for at least 5 years.

Yeah, they said 3-5 years till completion. Also as I understand it, financing for the project is not entirely placed yet ( as of last month). I do like the location and the floor plan. But it is a massive project and will take a very good company/developer to pull it off. Real esate is a hot topic today, but 3-5 years from now, it maybe another story. Lots of risk when buying off the plan.

went to see the met today and definitely more impressive than the athenee residences, which is almost sold out. agree with manowar that this is the best design layout that I have seen so far. architects is woha from singapore and I like the building design.. buyers so far have been mainly thai (surprise). developer will retain 3 towers (not for sale) at moment.. I think either for rental or re-sale later when completed. contruction approval has been approved and in tender stage for main contractor.. expected completion early 2009. so 30% upfront and balance on completion.. quick, someone but my place at narathiwas/chan and I can buy a unit here..

Great site. Thanks slowx. Did you see anything mentioned about "the Met " ? Also, what do you think of the "Hampton" ? I really like its location in a quite soi off of Thonglor. As a matter of fact, I think Thonglor in general is really a very charming neighborhood. Lots of nice shops and restaurants. Very pleasant residential neighborhood.

How about the condo market in the second hub of real-estate -- Pattaya / Chonburi / Jomtien? What kind of experiences, suggestions and advice for that market?

For those places, you may want to look into buying a house instead of condo. Land is cheap, house is cheap. No need for condo.
