Actually, wrong again. I travel regularly to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan and Japan and don't need a visa. I don't know anyone who has a visa for those countries, unless they live there. The only visa I need is for China, and everybody needs a visa there, even for one visit. Also, VOA (Visa on Arrival) is not the same as visa exemption. People from CIS countries and South Asia need a VOA and can get one at the airport. The new regulations do not affect that. The new 90 day limit is for those countries that get a visa exemption. Thanks for the advice, but I'll do it my way. I'll let you all know what happens.

wrong ? up to you big boy I hope you don't get one of those transit visas next time. It's more like an Adios visa, as in See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya who is more lazy, the Immigration officers, or those who don't get visas before arrival ? in the end, it's all a matter of opinion, and your's doesn't matter who's does ? well, mr. immigration of course

LY is right, easiest to just get a real multiple entry visa, and avoid potential hassles, but I do appreciate LLLarry offering to investigate this situation and being the guinea pig -- should result either in an expansion of the knowledge pool, or more entertainment.

Hoping someone can give me some info. I'm currently in Thailand on 90 day non-immigrant visa which I got in Australia. At the end of it I was planning to go to Singapore to do the same (or 60 day toursit visa). Is this possible or does it have to be done Australia again? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Homer

of course if you come back on a tourist visa, it's easy getting back-to-back 90-day Non-Immigrant visas is the tough task

The 90 days restriction does not apply to tourist visas. It only applies to the 30-day stamp (s) you get on arrival.

What's with all the posts I'm seeing on other sites stating that getting a visa exempt stamp, free 30 day stamp, will now require proof of onward travel out of the country within 30 days? Some friends have been getting warnings about this new enforcement on there last run to PoiPet, and papers handed to them explaining it. One other didn't get a warning, but did get the paper explaining it at another crossing. Anyone know about this yet?

hi koolbreez when entering the kingdom, they can always demand proof of onward travel. this rule has been around for ages, but hardly ever enforced. it applies to many countries in the world, btw. if you cannot show proof, they can refuse to let you into the country. so be prepared. (in fact, at some airports when you check in they will ask for the proof, too, and have the right to not admit you on the flight if you do not have the necessary documents!)
