hey everybody reading this,
I got some questions about becoming an expat in S.E. Asia and since I see alot of you are I wanted to ask you guys what you do over there, how you got your work,your experiences,etc....I have always wanted to live and work in S.E. Asia, being Half Filipino-half German, some of you might say that I should go back to the Philippines and look there, but I wanted to see and explore other countries then the P.I.'s(been there, done that).I am an Economic science major graduating June 2004 and I would want to know if there is a Demand for economist's there and where to inquire or apply. Websites would be great if you have any to recommend.

There's no magic formula (or else everyone would be living here).
All you need to do is to secure a job in your home country and have them send you here. It's possible, but more difficult to come here first and then get the job.
I might also add that the high paying "expat" jobs of days gone by aren't easy to find anymore (if they ever were).
