I wonder if anyone in this forum can provide some information about possibilities of finding a job as unbiversity teacher in mathematics in BKK. Is teaching language English or Thai at universities? What is the average salary for a university professor in Thailand?
My search in google and BTF hasn't produced anything useful so I'd appreciate any information or pointer on this.

If you are interested in International Schools.
They are recruiting NOW. Better wages and professional conditions than the universities.
You obviously need a degree in Math or related areas (like engineering), experience and a teaching certificate.

Thanks Edge. I searched google for international schools in Bangkok and got several hits but it was not clear which ones are recruiting now. Could you give the names of those schools which you know might be interested.

If you're looking to have a chat about this topic I'd recommend you pass up the ajarn.com forum site and have a look at the Thaivisa.com forum instead. Thaivisa forum info will be somewhat sparse but more level heads there prevail.
The job postings link at ajarn.com however, is an invaluable resource for you. There are a couple other sites worth monitoring too, I'll post those later, once I have access to my bookmarks. The Thai academic year begins around June, July and August. This is when you will find the best offers listed. Most will recruit for annual contracts. The govt. universities pay a flat rate salary with an allotment for housing which I think is about 23k baht salary plus 5k baht for housing.

They all are! They choose now because of international job fairs. There is one in London this coming week, CIS? not sure of the name.
Try the ISS, International Schools service. 4 big schools in BKK, ISB, NIST,
Ruamrudee, Patana. Lots of smaller, less well paid ones. ISS holds job fairs in the States. 3 or 4 a year.

Marc, Yours' will be the situation where there'll be that fleeting window of opportunity and you'll have to pounce. Best bet will be to check the ajarn.com and other links frequently.
Also, as promised, you might be interested in these links as well. Although they all seem to feed off the same pond, they do eachhave some unique postings and will each merit your attention for this reason.
The first had some very intriguing academic listings last July/Aug.
