When I first moved to Asia I kept a POB in the USA with Mailboxes. Each week they mailed anything I had received (except junk mail) by regular snail mail. I got everything, just that there was not much time left when it came to sending back checks to pay for credit cards, etc. Nowadays you can pay bills through the internet, so time should not be a problem.

DHL, FedEx, and UPS are way too expenive (probably at least $40.00). For 4-6 day service, you can use USPS Global Priority Mail, which is actually cheaper than surface mail: - Global Priority Mail, Flat-rate Envelope (Small) is about $5.25 - Global Priority Mail, Flat-rate Envelope (Large) is about $9.50 - Economy (Surface) Letter Post (4-6 weeks is about $9.80

Mr Alan, agreed, USPS beats the others for cost hands down, unless you're sending really big stuff. - Balls

Delivered to apartment (we have mail slots downstairs behind the manager's desk). Certain kinds of mail can require an ID at the local post office to pick up, e.g., when I send something to my TGF from the States that is insured or requires signature. - Balls
