Hi friends!
My next trip to LOS is coming!
And I'm going to do my biggest mistake of my life: I would like to spend some days together with a TG, met on Bkkchat, and I am sure I'll fall in love for her...eheeheheh. :-D :-D :-D
But this is my problem! :-( :-(
Need some help, guys: my base will be Bkk (business base), but I'd like to spend a full weekend on a beach, a nice beach, the best beach. 
My TG suggest KohSamet: have you better ideas for me? My desire is to be on a white sand beach, with no many ppl around, and far from action, but possibly not so far from LOS
Do you know if such a place exists?

Samet is fine if you want a quiet getaway and take your own TG. There's no local action there.
An alternative, going in the other direction from BKK, is Hua Hin. These places are very different, but both are very laid-back and neither is far from the Smoke. If you prefer upmarket accommodation, Hua Hin would definitely be your better bet. You don't need to slum it on Samet, but the resorts there are not top-drawer.

Hey bububear The biggest mistake of your life is spending a nice quite weeked on the beach with a TG you happen to like???Thats not a mistake thats a good thing. Now The mistake would be if you fall in Love and start thinking unrealistic thoughts about changeing your whole entire future plans to spend the rest of your life with a girl you known for 2 days. As long as you keep it real its allllllll gooood

I would recommend Hua Hin. They have some great resorts there, but they can be a tad bit pricey. But well worth it in my estimation.
Great beaches and quite romantic, if that is what you are wanting.

Agree with brother LOQUINT. Just take a bus to Hua Hin, bump into a decent hotel and enjoy the beach in the morning/afternoons and your girl at night. However, at Hua Hin you can also get some other action (I mean STs) if your girl gives you a break....ha ha ha ha bf are cheap and ST usually B/.600-800. Hope this helps.

I agree with Brother Loquint & pinga. My TGF was riding the red pony in Hua Hin. So sampled some of the offerings in Hua Hin, not bad, price is good. There are MP, beer bars & FL.

the simple life for me these days, i think you can't go past ChaAm, not too commercial, some nice hotels, e.g. methavali, but plenty of good condos/rooms for let right on the beach front, and cheap... scandy resort 500 bt per night, great sea food, 30 mins closer than hua Hin, which OK, if your out to impress the TG, the Hilton is the place to stay, - but just to relax, wander along a basically clean/tidy beach, eat some fresh seafood etc, Cha Am for me ........

Yes the Hilton is very nice. The bar (Brew pub) is a good pickup place at night. They gave me a very nice suite on the end over looking the pool and ocean. The patio was huge. One disadvantage if you leave drapes open the sunrise will wake you up. Another funny thing the hallways are not airconditioned, to save money?
