I've been using this website for the last 2 BKK stays.

I try to book with the apartment staff directly.
There are many good apartment deals in BKK for 2-6 week stays off strip areas. Does anyone use other methods online ? I know the best way is walk ins. I'm trying to find better rates for larger 1 bedroom

Im normally a hotel guy but thinking of a serviced apartment for a longer than normal stay. I have just been looking at the Rembrandt twoers which seems pretty good value for money approx 46-60k baht per month and just wondered if it was girl friendly?
I stayed at the Rembrandt hotel about 4-5 years ago and dont remember that being particulalrly guest friendly.
Any other suggestions are appreciated, I am really looking for something which has good quality accommodation and furnishing I'm normally a 5 star hotel guy and want something good. Have thought about the Emporium Suites but seems very pricey.

I have stayed at this service apt at Soi 11, Sukumvit walking distant to all the night activities and Sky train at NANA. Guest friendly. You have your own key to the main building. No ammendities, but clean room with kitchen, dailing room service and limited free laundry. Good for long period stay. You can book directly

I usually stay in condo's or serviced apts. In Bangkok I stay at Residence Park Suan Plu. Can highly recommend - they do daily and monthly rates - a large one bedroomed apt (90 sqm) is approox 2, 500 a night - but monthly rates get a lot better. Great facilities, daily rates include breakfast for two, daily cleaning etcv. Has a good pool and a fitness centre plus usual facilities. Set on Soi Suan PLu just off the top of Sathorn Road.

SXtrewth - Ive just checked out http://www.thailandservicedapartments.com and then went through to one or two of the individual sites I know. The rates quoted here seem way over the top. They quote 2, 500 per night for a Deluxe Studio at President Park who actually charge about 11, 000 a week for this. When I stayed here a few weeks ago this was negoptiable too.
Maybe best to "find" the appartments here as they certainly have a good list and then find the direct website etc for the establishment you like.

I will move to BKK next month and I am looking for a confortable Service Apartment (Studio or 1 bedroom), preferably near On Nut, or Sukhumvit 10 > 40 for 2 or 3 months. Budget approx 30000B/month
Just the time for me to find a good condo in the same area...

The one that gives you a ton of info on most of the serviced apartements is not down. I would think that link may be the most relevant to you now.
Do not worry about just 2 sites down -that is only two locations. You have access to info on over 50 other places in the one link that is active.
Worse case scenario, if you want more info that the one provided by a third party ( http://www.thailandservicedapartments.com ), and want the specific website, I think that with the name and details you get from the third party mentioned above and google, you could work wonders.

There are heaps of half empty serviced apartments locally.
If you are looking for quality at a reasonable price do note that the President Park, Grande President etc. are all fairly old now and are atsrting to show it. I also find Grande President a bit dark. In the bad days of 98 they were asking 1,000 Baht per night for one bedroomed units with breakfast. It became a bit of a knocking shop and I don't think it has been refurbished since.
Rates vary tremendously but 65,000/mth for a one bedroom is top range.
If you want maximum discount then a full month's stay is best but even a week can be good value compared to a hotel. Come for a few days and take a wander around and just ask for rates and availability and best price. This time of year they are desperate.
