Now that that is out of the way - Kev29ie (after 3 years of talking about it) is going to buy a condo in Chiang Mai. I am looking for a 2-3 bed, pretty luxurious, but not neccessarily 5 star. Also looking foran outdoor pool, and a view of Doi Suteph -
I have tried a few agencies in Chiang Mai - but they seem to be charging very high rates as opposed to some of the prices you see in the classifieds.
I have looked into getting a house also - but the land registry makes it a little problematic and lao the rentability of a condo makes it more attractiove
All help greatfully appreciated (and also gets an invite to my condo warming with a few cold beers (and a few warm tilacs) on me).
Looking to buy within next 12 months - maximum - will be back in LOS (I leave from this trip in a weeks time) in March/April

I know a guy who sells property up that way, sh*t he sells anything, but as you said he may have the 'farang' price as well. But if you want his details let me know, just tell him up front you have been shopping and looking at the Thai prices, you are not interested in inflated farang prices and if he wants to deal with you on those terms great, if not f*ck off.
I know a really really cute girl up there, can I bring her to the party??

Since I couldn't fit you into the Thread "DG takes over the Forum" let me try and help you out here.
One of my girls ("Nong") lives in Chiang-Mai and about a year ago she bought a house in a Moo Baan - so she knows something about the Real Estate market there.
If you wish I can ask her to scout around for some suitable options for you.
Of course, I will tell her to scout around for a Thai.

I am looking for an apt/condo with an outdoor pool in the complex - Preferably up by the north west end of town - Haey Kway Rd - up by the Amari Rincome/University - and ideally with a view of Doi Suteph. 2-3 bedrooms and pretty spacious.
