I know that this seems like a stupid thread, but lately every time I try to get something professionally cleaned it comes out mangled, still dirty, or pressed with a arc welder leaving shiny spots on quality clothes, and forget about about getting bedding done right.

Anyone have any reccomendations around Sukhumvit or Silom? Thanks in advance if anyone can help out.

Mr Alan
I converted to 100% cotton years ago. If it has to be dry cleaned, I don't buy it.

Smegma
Basement of Emporium. Laundry and Dry-Cleaning collection for the Oriental hotel. Expensive by Thai standards, but top quality.

Think you can get the same Oriental Hotel service from ground floor at Isetan at World Trade Centre too (or maybe Central Chidlom, definitely one or the other).

I always have mine done by the same service who seem to do the rounds of a few hotels/serviced apartments (think the Laundry is in the Oakwood). Never had a problem apart from their complete inability to cope with a white formal dinner shirt.

While we are on the subject, Why is Thai Laundry so fcuking expensive over here?? It is equivalent to USA prices, with Thai labor being so much cheaper someone is making a killing. I would marry Mrs. Laundry, but that rich bitch is already taken. Still searching for Miss Laundry.

Probably because Thai's don't use the service so much...especially along Sukhumvit.

I used to use a dry cleaners at SCB Park Plaza when I worked there and don't remember it being that expensive....mind you...I think it went out of business.....

Hey thanks guys, I'll give the emporium a try. TU - I know man it drives me crazy, US prices but quality equivalent to bashing the clothes between rocks.

when living on soi 4 there was a good service after the omni towers, in the PB hotel complex. 800 baht per month.

things were clean and smelled fresh.

while on soi 5 use the service next opposite foodland. they do 4 hours if requested. I thought that the quality was excellent. take the 2 day service it is of the same quality but cheaper.

or buy mrs. robinson a washing machine, an steam iron and a ironing board.

or noty will lend you one of his nannies...
