Hope you guys may be able to help me.  A good friend and Biz associate of mine has decided to plan his wedding in Thailand.

He will have a registry wedding in Ireland (home) for the ledgalities etc, but himself and his wife (2b) would love to have a ceremony (or blessing even) on a beach in Thailand.

I have put togther an iterary of 3 days BKK, 6 days Ko Chang, 7 in Chiang Mai 3 in MHS and then 10 in Krabi (ao Nang).

I can organise everything exceot the priest (or buddhist monk) to do a blessing or ceremony.  Thye would like to do it on Ko Chang.

Can anyone help or poin tme in the right direction?

Thanks
Kevin

Altjeff, about visas, well everyone has a different answer but my input is this, that if you're an Australian or an American citizen, then the authorities treat everyone as fraudulent. They will make you jump through many hoops, stringing it out for as long as possible, l've heard of 5 years in some cases, all in the hope that either you will give up, or that the marriage will break down. It is a disgrace in my opinion how they treat their citizens. The comment about fraudulent was made to my face by a senior Australian embassy official at the Australian Embassy in BKK. Also said a few other things that l still can't believe, and my taxes pay for these clowns???

If you are married to a Thai, then you can get a 12 month non-immigrant 'O' multiple entry visa, meaning you can stay for 90 days at a time before having to do the Visa run. Well, that's what l have, but it depends on where you apply for your visa. In Australia, the Thai consulates are very helpful. Well I do have a plan to keep the bride to be and the other girlies happy while we stag down at sukhumvit:- Two of the wwomen (my wife being one of them) have been to BKK before, and consider Patpong to be the red light district - so when they heard we were planning a stag, they said they would have the hen there (in fact one of the guys suggested it to them) so they think we are out of harms way, whilst we visit beer garden to sstrta with, and who knows where from there?

It seemed like a great plan after a few beers last night.....Im going to end up divorced after this, aren't I?

Thanks Future Park for the info. Really appreciate.
Seems the only difference between 'B' and 'O' is that you don't need to justify a job when applying the visa, right?
