i think some of u r getting confused
the video called on an end to womens suffrage
that means ending their right to vote
not ending their right NOT to vote
so some of u r either a bit slow or way too sarcastic for me or just dont know what suffrage is
thats what a suffragete is, a woman who fights for the right for suffrage!!

And a further (incorrect) assumption is that the US constitution gives US citizens the right to vote. This is incorrect. The Supreme Court has affirmed lower courts' interpretation that the Constitution "does not protect the right of all citizens to vote, but rather the right of all qualified citizens to vote.” Individual states decide who is qualified. Voting is not a right of all US citizens, but a privilege granted or withheld at the discretion of local and state governments (not my words).
I guess the assumption that anyone who didn't know this is 'confused'.

What about segregating all women to different states based on their menstrual cycle, then staggering the election dates of each state. Result is no one votes while on the rag.
Maybe this would put an end to "red states" in the election maps.

By the way you are wrong on your assumption that no European would understand the word "suffrage", at least French are using the very same word with the same meaning, so even if they dont speak any english they will still understand this word.

That doesn't make sense to me. There indeed are places in the world where women can't vote, so that should be an even greater incentive for these chicks to support women suffrage. Certainly not oppose it.
Anyways, girls in other countries would probably behave in a similar manner; it was just an amusing tidbit.
Also, what's with the antagonism towards the French? It seems endemic on this forum. Are we at war with France or something? Didn't see anything in the news. What's this whole "frigging frogs" deal all about?

Several US Constitutional Amendments rightly and severely constrain the discretion of local or state governments to disenfranchise US Citizens.
15th Amendment to the US Constitution: "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." The 19th, 24th & 26th Amendments as well as the Voting Rights Act of 1965 further constrain local and state governments from denying US Citizens their right to vote.
