To jaypoet the age is 25 and they said if not married by 25 like xmas cake bec, nobody wants anymore.but this expression went out of stile more than 20 years ago so unless your friend is 40 + she would never use, say or even know it. today in japan most women marry in late 20s or early 30s. As for the pill,it is almost impossible to get in japan as the government fears the spread of aids or hiv if it where in use.

Speaking of Japanese gals [in Krung Thep], as I was leaving the Siam Coffee shop a couple of weeks back I got approached by a Thai guy who spoke perfect English. He offered to take my buddy and I to another venue that had Japanese, Korean and Uzbek and a couple other nationalities on hand.
Yeah, I know what your all thinking now: Skip and company nearly got hustled.
But he didn't vibe that way at all. On the contrary, the conversation he struck up was SO congenial, seemed so knowledgeable of the present Siam and included so much of the history there, that we both decided the next week to follow up on his offer one day soon.
Anyway, he said he'd been working at the hotel for 30+ years [name begins with a B] and has access to a venue nearby with Japanese, Korean, Uzbek and a few other flavors onboard- all of which escape me now.
Told us to come back and ask for him by name at the frontdesk when we were ready to go.
Any comments? Reactions? Confirmations [by PM if you like  ]

I know who you are talking about. He's tried to sell me on "farang" girls quite a few times when I was window shopping siam hotel. I really doubt what he says personally I think it's a scam or the girls are really sketchy. He's always camped out near siam hotel and gives his spiel to every foreigner walking by. If you do give it a try let us know how it turns out.
I could be totally wrong about this though if he's still there after 4 months then his operation must not be that fly by night.
