If everyone who watches that video is so much smarter than the girls who signed the petition, then why did they need to include a definition of "suffrage" at the beginning of the video?
Further, women's suffrage is not universal and there are many places where women can't vote, so signing such a petition is not completely unreasonable.
However, the above notwithstanding, I am not endorsing the intelligence of American women. But I do know a cheap shot when I see one, and that was very cheap.

Jay Leno does the same kind of thing all the time on the Tonight Show.
There is a TV game show in the US called "Street Smarts" which is dedicated to interviewing stupid people on the street and asking them relatively easy questions. The game show contestants place bets on which ones will get the answers correct.

It is only unreasonable if you really think women should have the right to vote.  If they go into the polls while they are on the rag, they might make an irrational choice!

Yes, of course the video is a cheap shot, and not even a good one. I'll bet the majority of Europeans and Asians (and the rest of the world, male or female) do not know the definition of 'suffrage'.
