it's a sh_thole actually. the rooms are barely half the size as in the picture. I guess they measured the elevator and the front porch aswell. the tv's "will be delivered soon", jacuzzi my ass. the rooms are smelly and the maid came once a week, before 7am.

Are you referring to president solitaire? I'm going to bkk in March and was planning to stay there. I was hoping to make good use of the jacuzzi in the Solitaire suite. I screwed up last time by staying at the Zenith. I don't want to make another mistake on my very next trip.

Ambassador on Soi 11 is not TG friendly anymore as of last year. In 2004 it was not a problem. Too bad as it was/is a nice place, very spacious with lots of ammenities and a very nice pool.

Before my first trip to Bangkok, I obsessed a lot about where to stay. It was a complete waste of time. I was only at my serviced apartment (President Solitaire) to sleep or use the pool when it got hot. I wouldn't worry too much, just pick a place, most of your time will be spent away from your hotel. To me the most important aspects are internet availability, an in room safe, a gym, and a pool which encompasses most places.

What is the jacuzzi like in the solitaire? Is it one built into a normal bath ? or are we talking a real square one ? is this in addiotion to the bath ? any pics ?
