Given everything you have said, you will probably be happiest at the Emporium.

It looks like most of the bros have only been at one or the other serviced apartment, or none, so cannot really provide you with a first hand comparison. Since you will be in BKK for 20 nights, you should stay 10 nights at each and decide for yourself which one suits you best. Afterall you are the only one who really knows what you like.

If your trip is in Dec/Jan, it should not be too hot to walk around outside a bit. You can always take a taxi to where you want to go. Taxis are everywhere and they are cheap. I really like the Emporium mall too, but I don't think you plan to live inside the mall for 20 days, do you?

Most of your thousands of questions about Thailand is answered by one or more of the threads on this forum. You should use the search engine (on the top of the page) to look for your answer before starting a new thread. This will save BK some time to have to use mod mode to move your new thread to existing ones.

Hey bros,

Heard that you can get a cheaper rate by getting someone who works for Procter & Gamble to book a room (2900 bt, compared to the internet rate of 4000 bt) I would love to stay at Emporium, 'cus seems like there is always something to do.

If any body knows or who works at P&G that can book this apartment for me, I would appreciate it. Bottle of Black on me........PM me.

Uh,

I guess I should mention that the person from P&G only has to book it, they don't have to be there at check in, and they don't need to give any credit card info.......

Proctor and Gamble has offices in the Emporium, they must have negotiated this good rate. My contact from Proctor and Gamble has now left the company, and I do not know anyone else there. I'd love to have someone make a resv. for me there for an upcoming stay as well.

I still think the Emporium Serviced Apartment is the better option. Simply rent it for the month and check out after twenty or more days. You still save substantially over the 20x daily rate and flexibility is there should you need to stay a bit longer for whatever reason. I have done this myself and was glad when there was a flight schedule problem.

Also, Solitaire and Jasmin are simply not in as good a neighborhood. Soi 33 bars are very close to Emporium.

Finally, when you become a regular at Emporium, its really nice to hear "Welcome Home" on each arrival.

I'm staying at Emporium Suites now. Been here one month already with another five weeks to go. Yep, it's a bit pricey. But when you take into account the unbeatable location with easy access to just about anything and everything you'll ever need, I think it's worth it.

I've got a one-bedroom apartment which is spacious, modern and very comfortable. The view from the 26th floor facing west over the city is fantastic. At night, having a drink on the balcony with a TGF before retiring to bed is an aphrodisiac too. The gym and pool are great, and the food isn't too bad either. Overall, the level of service is excellent. Needless to say, it's very girl friendly. No one bats an eyelid when bringing a friend (or two) back for the evening and ID cards do not need to be shown.

I've stayed at the President Solitaire before, but this place is in a different league. It's even better than the Sheraton Grande and of course more relaxed than a hotel and cheaper for a long-term stay.

I thought hard before shelling out the extra cash to stay here, but very glad I did. The problem for others wishing to stay here over the next couple of months is that I believe it's heavily booked up.

I'll definitely be staying here again.
