That might be the case. The little f***er was certainly impressed when I banished one tart from my apartment and 2 more followed an hour later. One of which was the cause of my other posting 'Resistant GU/Chlamydia?' in the health forum section.

Website of the Sawasdee Sukhumvitt inn is: http://www.sawasdee-hotels.com

It doesn't have a price per month on the site but most of the times this is about 20 times the price for a day

bobthebob,

I contacted Sawasdee Sukhumvitt inn on Soi 57 and they offered to take 10% off the standard rate. Nothing special. I tried to contact all the apartment places on the list, but only got through to one. None of them have E-Mail. Liberty Place was 12,000 baht per month, not including electric/water, but her English was poor and I couldn't tell if a room was available or not. She asked for cash when I got there for one month plus one month in advance. I wasn't too happy with making a reservation there due to the lack of English, it not being there when I arrive, and not confident about them holding a months rent for deposit. I think I may stay with a place like Boss Tower that has a website and normal E-Mail, which is 10,500 plus electric/water, vat, $12,500 total including, for a non-serviced studio. I know the reviews for this place aren't great, but its the cheapest place near the action compared to the deals I've gotten from hotels for a month.

Are we talking about the Liberty Place on Soi 22? The place is a dump and my ex used to rent a room there for 5,000 per month.

42 Soi Sukhumvit 22, Sukhumvit Rd. I guess its cheaper when you stay longer. They did say it was serviced.

That the Sawasdee doesn't give a bigger discount disappoints me a bit (I planned to go there too in March)
About the one month rent deposit: I believe all (or most) service appartments do this (the Boss Tower also I thought)
Maybe the best option is to book a hotel for a couple of days and then go to the low-soi's of sukhumvit and ask in the hotels there what they charge for a month (the Inn's in Sukhumvit Soi 11/1 are cheap hotels and when they don't have a lot of custumers the are happy to have someone for a month).
The normal going for a month is about 20 times the day-charge so every hotel of 600 Baht a day should give you (with a little bit of negotiation a room for 12,000 baht a month)

Sawasdee Sukhumvitt inn on Soi 57 doesn't have a pool, so thats an issue for me. Is there anyway I can contact those hotels you have in mind by E-Mail, etc? I plan to be there in March or April, so I don't know if those places will be busy. Boss Tower requires a one month deposit, but the management speaks English, which is a big plus. The negative is its a non serviced room. I have to provide my own toilet stuff and there is no kitchen. I can only stay for 30 days at most, so staying in a hotel for a few days might not work with that idea, unless they offer me a discount for less than 30 days. If the hotel includes breakfast and is gf, I like it more. I'm familiar with the Sukhumvit area, so a basic hotel, possibly with a pool, is good for me. I am leaning towards Boss Tower due to the facilities as well. I may stay for less than 30 days, so I could stay at Honey Hotel Soi 19, being its 900 baht and I've been there before.

You can try this: http://www.bangkok-inn.com/ and send them a mail what they charge for a month (if you do keep me informed please...), they don't have a pool also...

A kitchen in BKK is not necessary IMO, eating on the street is cheaper than cooking yourself I think

I know its cheap to eat on the streets, but since it was an apartment, I figured they would have a kitchen. Most of them do. I'll keep you informed.

I mailed with the Bangkok-inn, they wouldn't give me a discount for 14 days.....so it seems I will not stay there.

By the way the price of 890 baht on the site is exclusive of 7% tax and a breakfast costs 60 B so a room for a night will be a little over a 1000 B....
