Here is the pricing I got from Kan:"I am pleased to inform you that the best rate we can offer you is Bht 7500 per week. This rate is inclusive of water, electricity and daily
clening service and taxes. "
Are you saying that the 10% service charge is not included in this?

Hold the fort here ... if you go thru asia travel you will probably be paying more then if you emailed Ms. Kwan at gpesa@presidentpark.com. İ Ask for the TSM rate and specify waiving off the credit card surcharge. İNo need to join or know anything about TSM ... just ask for the rate for them. İYou will get a better deal then asiatravel.com

Turns out you were absolutely correct JGM005, after a couple of back and forths with asia travel the best I could get was 1600B a nite, long way from 7500 a week. I'll try what you suggested, thx!!

Yes, you do want to book directly. It took a few emails back and forth to get the 7500 rate. And that was with staying almost a month.
I'm about halfway through my stay now. Overall, I like the place. I did ask for a quiet room, and got the corner (a bit noisy) room. I asked for a remodeled room, and it doesn't appear to be remodeled lately.
I didn't complain, since it's not horrible or anything.
I did however, go into the Bright City Towers a few days ago to check them out. They were full, and I couldn't check out a room, but thier rates are quite a bit lower.
They have a 17,000 baht rate for a month for thier small studio (250 SF, I think). And monthly customers get free laundry service. That would save me a lot of hassle.
I think a comparable room to GP is probably 20 or 23 thousand a month.
I'm going to check it out before I leave, so I can plan for next year.
And as others had noted, it BCT is only 3 buildings up Soi 11 from the GP, so no real difference.

Just to post the update in this thread, when I checked out no problem on the rate, straight 7500 baht a week, no taxes/service charge, etc.
When I came back from Pattaya, they did hassle me a bit, and didn't want to give me the same rate. (I had told them in advance I would leave in the middle and come back) I had to whip out the email to get them to give me the right price. Hopefully no problems when I check out. I kept the receipt from the earlier part, so we'll see.
