Will do. Has anyone booked the Centre Point via their corporate website? If so, does that include breakfast? I've seen on other sites that they include breakfast. I know. Small detail, but just curious. ha ha ha!! Thanks.

Can you expand on your post? Did you sign this lease just recently? What type of room did you get (Studio A, B 1 BR D) ? Did you negotiate the rent in USD? Sorry for all the questions but I am considering this property for a 1 year lease.

According to their web site Centre Pointe daily rates include breakfast, but the monthly rates do not. When you book through an agency, then the terms can be different from those offered on the official Centre Pointe web page (or they could be the same). You will have to ask. Always determine in advance which of the following are included in the price. Be careful, because some Thai do not speak English well and don't always know what "included" means. 1. VAT tax 2. Service Charge 3. American Breakfast 4. Surcharge for using credit card 5. Electricity 6. Exchange rate if rate is quoted in USD (you will be charged in baht, even if the rate is quoted in dollars).

lomatopo, my experience is that even if the rate is quoted in USD, they charge you in baht, so you need to know what conversion rate they will use (usually not as good as banks offer). I always ask for the rate in baht. Also, many places will try to charge up to 5% for using a credit card, so get that straightened out before hand. If you are willing to sign a 1 year lease, you should try asking for a special rate, but make sure you know exactly which room you will be getting, and that you are willing to live there for a year.

Hi Lomatopo, I just signed the list last week in April, I am in the smallest studio apt, 38 Metres square. Studio A. No Breakfast at this rate though I prefer to eat out. Queen bed, enough for a couple, and they issue two mag cards to you straight, plus they have a channel on the TV that shows the reception. Btw there are units with and without washing machines, I chose one without and had them to do my laundry at around. 50 B per shirt and 55 B per trousers The GYM looks very nice though... Complete range of basic stuff. Was out of Thailand this few days. Staying at the wireless road, as it is just 5 mins walk to the regus at all seasons. I had made enquiries to the email both personally and through my company admin. For monthly leases, they charge electricity and water, but for my lease for 4 months, They included the water and power ( As special Benefits) So for a on year lease, you should get much better rates and benefits. I paid via TT to their account, and if pay by CC another few percentage points. Been staying here less than a week, security is fine and it is just a 3 min walk to the Poen Chit BTS and to the All Seasons Place with their TOPS supermart, food court and fastfoodBurger King., Their internet broadband is awesome ( part of Package) as I write this, I am running around 100 KB combined uploading and download. Let me know if you need more infor Doctine

Sounds like a good deal. Well priced compared to Emporium. If working at ASP location is good. Remember to try the Burger Grill for luch: great burgers. BTW, another well proced alternative in the area is Chateau De Bangkok. Just behind ASP in soi Ruamrudee. Doctine, how much are they charging now at Regus? BTW, I am often at ASP -my old co. was there and still have to go there often. Perhaps we could one day have a coffee downstairs and you can give me your views on Regus.

Hi, Any recommendations for 2-3 bedroom service apartments for a 6-month stay (address will be appreciated) ? Some of the factors that are important: 1. Walking distance to BTS station 2. Preferably in the Pathumwan or Pratunam area 3. Traffic in vicinity shd still be "bearable" for driving (eg quick access to expressways) 4. Quality of room, furnishing and services Budget is abt THB 40k/month. Is this reasonable for a high-end apartment? Don't really trust those prices published on websites. Specifically, any comments on the following apartments : - Evergreen Place - Grand Diamond - Centrepoint Wireless and LangSuan (may be out of budget) - Somerset LakePoint (seems far from main road) - President Park Sukhumvit Soi 24 (same as above) BTW, can anyone share how to start new threads here? I can't seem to find the "Post New" button.... thanks!
