I'm trying to find a place where I can stay for 1 - 1 1/2 months.
It seems the apartment rate has gone up so much last couple years.
According to the old threads, it was possible to get Centrepoint or President Solitaire for ~$1000 a month 1-2 years ago but nowadays these places go more like ~$1500 a month.
50% up? it's crazy..
With 30K-50K budget, is it possible to find a good place around lower Suk?

If you asking high class serviced apartment of course nothing cheap this day, but try check in http://www.mrroomfinder.com and put your price range in there, hope can solve your problem. As I know difficult these day to find service apartment that have cheap price in HiSo area ie Sukhumvit or Sathorn.

I have been staying at the Admiral Suites on Soi 22 the last two trips I've made it's a little far up the Soi but the building is pretty new, the price is fine in May 2006 I paid 38k baht for a month good size room and they threw in the high speed internet.. maybe a 5 to 10 minute walk the Phrom pong BTS and of course the Emporium... works for me.

I think it was "The Queens Park" or "Queens Park Palace" also on soi 22 was just under 50,000baht a month back in 2004....probably went up, but very nice apartment..
By teh way...if your tag name is a reference to "usual suspects" nice one...great movie!

Is he a wanker?? I'd guess you're some seriously tasteless prol though. Certainly not much in term of good serviced appartment for this price in top areas, if anything.
BTW Joy Meritus is quite far from Suk, you might be disapointed by the area (and on a side note there's a company renting units in the same tower, about the same layout as the Meritus rooms but a tad simpler.Goes from 2000bht per night for the 65sqm unit, 30 or 35000 a month. I used to have one of their sales phone number but dunno where it is anymore. Good deal anyway if you're looking for that kind of budget in this area.)

As for the apts are you referring to the Imperial Queens Park? If so the Apts I'm talking about are almost across the street form there, up just a touch.. but still nice location good price and in all the time I've been there I have never seen anyone use the rooftop pool but me hahaha..
When I see them taking people on a tour around the building now I take them aside and tell them it's an awful place don't stay here hahahaha.. jk

decent apartments under 50,000BHT per month are easily found,,, maybe not 120 M2 or having 3 spas but quite nice enough.
