Rooms look ok and good value, gym pool etc.. 1 bed for 35K so what are the drawbacks..???????

1.4 KB daily (Internet) rate for a studio is good but if the rooms are as worn out as the design looks old I would pass...
Citichic hotel few meters away is nice...

My last trip when I considered Star suites I actually ended up renting a apartment for the month on suk Soi six next door to Dynasty Grand.
Had a large studio apartment (45 mtrs sq) on the top floor (23) at the back with open views out to Asoke. Studio had a galley kitchen separated from the rest of the studio by the back of the large inbuilt sliding wardrobes and living area was separate from the bed area by a line of cupboards. Had a very large 6ft x 6ft bed..
The owner (Thai/chinese) did not want to really let for the month but it was empty and when I placed 40,000 baht down (20,000 rent + 1 month deposit) she called her husband and agreed.. only drawback was I promised to let any prospective long term renters view the place but that only happened twice in the month..
I absolutely loved the place.. and would have rented it for a year if I lived in BKK.
Owner was also nice her and her husband invited myself and my friend (who did the preliminary work for me before I arrived) out for dinner on the river, which was all paid for..
I am hoping it is still available for my next months stay, but doubt it will be.
