sai tai, if that's a serviced apartment, you should have no problems bring back girls, especially when they are located in that area.

Staying here this trip @ 2980 per night for a one bedroom apartment. I always go for a place that has in-room washer/dryer so I can pack light.
They assigned me to a Soi 4 room, but I changed it to a quieter one on the Soi 2 side.
No issues except for the free in-room wifi that keeps going on the blink. So I use the lobby wifi instead.
No problems bringing the TG in. Just a nod and a smile from reception. ID was not asked for.
Clientele staying here is a mix of western, asian, and middle eastern guests. Quite a few Japanese and middle/upper class Middle Eastern families.
There are 2 entrances, one off of Soi 2 and the other from Soi 4 which enters from the back of the building and car park.
The Shama car park entrance is located between Hanrahan's and Bus Stop on Soi 4. The main entrance on Soi 2 is just past the JW... blink and you miss it.
The pool is small but nice in that it bumps up against the building edge. I had it to myself most of the time.
Breakfast is the only meal served and is your typical buffet. You can order from nearby restaurants and have it delivered to your room.

Once more I think I figured out the problem with in-room wifi as noted in another thread.
I think my room must be on the edge for signal reception of the floor-wide coverage. So they must have added a separate wifi router in the bedroom of my apartment.
But this router and the floor router must have been interfering with each other. I unplugged it and now can connect to the floor wireless without problem.

This looks like a nice place worth checking out, albeit the room price is a tad pricey -- I pay about the same amount for the Anantara in Radjaprasong for their one bedroom suite.

Unfortunately, this may be the first and stay for me.
When I checked in, I asked about current promotion and they told me it was now 3680.
Looking at WOTIF, they have it at 4380. LateStays has a 3721 rate.
moveandstay.com still has a 2980 rate posted, but I expect that it will change soon. I consider the 2980 rate I got a bargain (if I had booked a few weeks earlier I would have gotten 2680).
But once the rate goes over 3000 (or 100 USD), I start looking for alternatives; Fraser Suites and Column Bangkok for example.
The place is full and the majority of the clients are of the type I'm sure Shama is looking for; middle and upper middle class families. Which surprises me considering the location is almost literally a stone's throw from NEP.

... my bet is that relentless market forces will eventually force Shama's market equilibrium more toward single men seeking sex vacations in the Nana trade area... hard to imagine it succeeding as family-oriented resort hospitality.
