This is a bit lazy but here goes. I have been checking out serviced apartments this week, and the Marriott Mayfair is high up on my list of possible locations. Walked from Central Chidlom to get there, which was a bit of a pain, and had a nightmare trying to score a taxi back to the conrad afterwards.

Is it possible/quicker to walk from Rajadamri BTS to Lang Suan? I had thought I could walk to/from wireless road, but when it came to it, I found that there was no connecting sois, despite the 2 roads being in close proximity. I guess I could go and try to find out myself but if anyone knows the answer I would appreciate it.

Also was the lack of taxis on Tuesday just my bad luck, or is this normally a problem for those living along this road?

No problem walking through to BTS Ratchadamri, as I did when staying across the road at Centre Point, Lang Suan. They were just completing/opening Marriott Mayfair when I left in March.

Taxis are certainly not a problem along Lang Suan but it's one way traffic down to Sarasin.

Walk through past the Villa Supermarket, you come at right at the Rajamri BTS stop.

I have just come back from a 3 week stay at the Marriot Mayfair on Soi Lang Suan and highly recommend it. Definitely 5 star, I spent some time looking at properties on my last trip and this (and the Centrepoint Wireless) were the best places I saw by a long way.

Rates at the Mayfair are not cheap at 5200 for a 2 bed apartment but you do get a true European style kitchen with oven, dishwasher etc. and very nice decor/facilities.

I based myself there over Xmas as a trial for a long term stay later this year. I found the location perfect (for my needs), 3 mins walk to Rajadamri BTS and 5 mins to Chit Lom. Appeared to be guest friendly from the behaviour of other guests (didnt get to test this personally since my gf never stays overnight- she is a "good" girl and needs to report back at base by about 11pm at the latest most nights).

Will definitely stay here again, in fact now I am back home I miss the place a lot.
