i'm a newbie to both this message board and to thailand, but I wanted to share my experience at eden club for other newbies to understand the whole picture. also, I wanted to add my 2 baht to the "is eden a good place to go or not" debate. sorry if this post is very long, but it would have helped me to have something like this prior to going.
first of all, many thanks to everyone who posts here. without this message board, I wouldn't have had the first clue as to what to do, where to do it or how. this is a great service. when I first got to bangkok, I had absolutely no plans to visit a place like eden club. I read this board to get an idea of where to see a fun sex show. but as I kept reading (and kept telling myself "you're in bangkok just this once...") I decided I might give eden club a try. this is VERY unlike me to do and it was with a good deal of freshman jitters that I got off the skytrain at nana.
i found soi 7/1 no problem (not soi 7, newbies - 7/1. it's between 7 and 9.) and found eden club no problem halfway up on the right. I took a deep, nervous breath and went in. when you walk in the door, the bar is along the left side and the wall is on your right. it's on this right wall that the yellow line is painted, so all you need to do is have a seat at the bar and look at the opposite wall. the yellow line is clear - on the left are those who do anal, on the right are those who don't.
i sat at the bar without being approached by any women - there is absolutely no feeling of pressure from the girls. even as I surveyed them, they paid me no mind. this was helpful to me. marc came over and asked if i'd been there before. i should add that this was a one-time thing for me. I have no plans to return to a similar place, either here or anywhere else. I just wanted to do it once. eden's club lived up to every single positive post on this board. the rules were clear. marc was helpful and gave me no pressure. the girls ranged from 6-9 in my book, which was fine by me! and they were extremely solicitous. the hotel was clean. the girls just wanted to make me happy. it was exactly the experience I wanted and a perfect one for a nervous newbie like myself.
if you are a first-timer and want to consider eden (which I highly recommend), I suggest you read everything on this message board about eden - even the bad stuff. know that the bad stuff isn't true, but it made me more comfortably to know what some negative things to look out for were. I give this place an A++++++. if they could make a first-timer like me comfortable and happy (and they did!), I think anyone could be happy here. thanks, marc!

The scars you noticed were probably motorcycle accident scars. Every girl in Thailand has them. Injuries take a long time to heal and frequently leave scars so it was probably nothing more than that.

Also, I noticed a scar on some of the girls upper arms...not sure if this is where you saw it but they are immunization scars (from what I was told by one of them) and depending on the complexion of the girl they vary...just another possibility. Honestly, I was too busy looking elsewhere to notice much

Agreed, most dark completion Thais have skin that is very keloidal in nature. Keloid scars heal over the surface of the skin and grow beyond the boundaries of the initial wounds.
A lot of TG's also self impose small surface cuts especially on the arms as a way of dealing with grief such as a broken heart.
A lot of accidents in the LOS.

Indeed.... motorcycle mishaps while weaving through traffic (mainly legs) and smallpox immunization scars (upper arm right at the shoulder... sometimes both arms). Both go with the territory....

Farming scars on the legs seem to be pretty common, too.
The smallpox scar usually leaves a divot about the size of a 25-satang coin. Very distinctive. You rarely see Westerners with them anymore except for some of the older folks.
